Kroger Midlothian Wine and Growler Bar

I stop here every time I come to shop. It makes shopping fun and I usually buy a snack or two to enjoy with my beer. The beer and wine choices are usually pretty good. There’s a style for just about every taste, from dark stouts and porters, IPAs, lagers, pilsners, and ciders for gluten free option. You just can’t beat the price at $4 per pint. There are 12 beer taps and they change daily/hourly. I highly recommend using the app TapHunter to preview Kroger #523 list of beers and wine on tap to help schedule your shopping trips!

Flower department was great today.

I always get good customer service at Kroger but can’t for the life of me understand the need to keep the wine bar open during the pandemic. It was really busy tonight both with shoppers and drinkers... I’m going to stop shopping at Krogers as this isn’t necessary to keep your business afloat. It’s bad enough that people don’t wear masks but this just adds to it all and seems irresponsible on Kroger’s part. People have to have food to eat but they don’t have to drink...they can always drink their bottle of merlot at home. I’m in healthcare and we’re so close to not being able to handle the load in the ICU, staffing, and ventilators. Every little bit of people making an effort makes a difference. Please help out too! For $2-3 pints, you can't beat it!!

One of your associates, Jalese, made my day today. It was Monday, and I had had a TERRIBLE day. I needed groceries and I was hungry and tired. When I got to the checkout, there were only 2 regular lanes open and lots of self checkouts, and long lines in both of the normal lanes. Jalese assessed the situation, took charge, and was able to temporarily open 2 or 3 extra lanes, which alleviated the open cashiers and relieved the guests (myself included). She personally took care of me, and her demeanor and candor were amazing. She was so friendly I left with a smile and was able to get home in a good mood. I’ve been in management my entire life, and I was impressed to see how well she adapted and stepped up to expedite the worst part of grocery shopping. I’ll be back for sure.
