Super sad they closed the building down.. I’m never around where the truck is. Gonna miss this.

We were so fortunate to have Joe Lajoie and his River City Wood Fire Pizza truck at my daughter's rehearsal dinner two weeks ago. Everything was amazing as usual. The pizza of course is awesome but the service was top notch and so much fun. If you are looking for something unique and superb for a catering event, then I cannot imagine you finding a better option than Joe and his team. thank you so much for starting our blissful weekend. I know the Powhatan location has recently closed, but you get them at your event any way you can.

Hands down, best pizza in Powhatan and even Richmond area. I had the Hawaii five-0 and cheese bread. 🤤 the hours are a bit all over the place, so you really have to pre-plan your meal. I’ve tried to order and couldn’t because of hours more than I have made successful orders. Doesn’t matter to me, great food and great service!! Thank ya’ll

Great. Just great. A new amazing sandwich experience I can hyper-fixate on for the rest of the spring and well into summer. The Italian is too too good...fresh veggies, fresh meats, excellent balance of seasoning and texture, and, as always, fun upbeat staff service on the corner of Genito and Dorset. Thanks for dinner!

I was supper disappointed at this pizza truck. It's also over priced. I ordered a pepperoni pizza from the meat section of the menu. I have never eaten here before but I love pizza as it is my favorite food. The where parked by the DMV which is around the corner from my work and I decided to give them a try as the pizza is wood cook should have lots of flavor?. I was so wrong it had no flavor the only good part of the pizza is the pepperoni. The cheese had no taste and neither did the crust. No Flavor. I also had cooked plastic in one of my pizza slices. I was so upset that I just wasted 17 dollars and it was flavorless with plastic in it. 10/ 10 do not recommend 😑 😒

Joe and RCWF catered my wedding this past weekend. We can't speak more highly of them. Everyone was raving about the food- the pizza and the wings. And about Joe- he works the crowd!! He personally delivered vegan/ dairy free/ nut allergy pizzas to our dietary restrictions guests. The food truck was set up beautifully and they are just amazing. RCWF is the perfect wedding caterer because your food will be HOT and delicious. Thank you guys!!!

This might be the greatest pizza on earth…
…but I guess I’ll never know!

Seriously, this is a food truck, not a Michelin-starred sit-down restaurant with a six-course tasting menu. Well over an hour wait for pizza? While they’re still taking online orders like it’s Domino’s on Super Bowl Sunday?

It’s asinine to keep accepting more orders when the current crowd is visibly aging in real time. I don’t care if it’s “bad for business” to pause orders — you know what’s worse? Watching my soul leave my body while waiting for something that’s supposed to be fast and accessible.

Food smells great. Vibes? Tragic. Logistics? Absolute chaos. Bring a sleeping bag.

Killer pizza. Good gluten free options. The raspberry cheesecake was also excellent. The brick and mortar is a hidden gem. Worth the drive out there.

I'm not sure if we hit them at a bad time, but our food wasn't as advertised. We only live 3 miles down the road, and our pizza was not warm, and the wings had the taste of dirty oil.

My niece hired this business to cater her wedding. Let me say when I found out the dinner was going to be pizza , I was
a little disappointed. Once I tasted this pizza, I was blown away. This is gourmet! This is elevated! This was delicious!
The Scott's edition pizza was my favorite. My nephew and I were raving about it.
He said, "there's no reason to ever eat any other pizza. It's the best." I agreed. ?
Everyone at our table was loving it.
And let me tell you, they didn't miss a beat with making sure the demand was met.
We had multiple types of pizza to choose from and I sampled them all. Very delicious. Probably the best pizza I've ever had. I went back for seconds. Most of us did.
If you are planning an event, I highly recommend this company. They did a great job at my nieces wedding. I think there was about 75 people there, maybe more. They would be awesome for an office party, birthday party, or whatever you want to celebrate.
They handled it all professionally and efficiently.....and the pizza is SUPERB! ❤
