Ruth Chris is always a perfect choice fir an elegant dining experience. Not only is the food delicious, but the ambience is beautiful! It is also special because the waiters/waitresses/hostesses, etc. are very attentive. Thank you, Ruth Chris!
On point. We were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. Ruth's Chris is one of our places for just such an event. I had flowers delivered earlier in the day and they were on our table waiting for us when we arrived. Every part of the meal was perfect, as expected. Now... We've had some issues in the past, cold potato, etc. But that is clearly in the past. Everything tonight was spot on. My wife and I order our steaks Pittsburgh medium. Some places cannot do it much as they might try... these were absolutely perfect. Service was attentive, the evening was splendid, and the live piano music knew the tune we wanted to hear. So glad we came.
We traveled nearly 50 miles to this restaurant for my wife's birthday! I was hoping it would be a joyous occasion and Ruth's Chris did NOT disappoint! It was a perfect place, with a staff of knowledgable people who truly take pride in their work. Of special attention, I will forever thank our server, Bobbie, his attention to her birthday presentation, and attentiveness was truly superlative! It was much better than I ever expected and the personal touches they added to her birthday dinner were magnificently done! Thank you Ruth's Chris Richmond, you've earned a lifelong customer in me! Many, many thanks for making her birthday something she'll remember for the rest of her life!
So consistently excellent! Our waiter, Stephen, although quite busy, did a great job being attentive and polite. Highly recommend Ruth's Chris. Ask for Stephen.
Not sure what was going on this night. It was Father's Day and maybe they were not staffed accordingly. Service was ok until our steaks were dropped and they were raw. Server never came back to ask if they were ok. We asked twice for our server and then my daughter and I just got up and left because no one ever came back to check or replace. My husband - the father on Father's Day was left to deal with this issue. Serous disappointment after years of patronage. We went home and ordered pizza.
So I would have made this 5 stars across the board but the steak was overcooked a good bit. It was still very tender and I didn't want to wait for a redo. Otherwise a good meal.
We go here a couple times a year and it NEVER disappoints. Food is always great, drinks and wine great and some of the nicest most attentive service you can find. Went here for our anniversary recently and had the best time! LOVE this Ruth’s Chris. Started off with some martinis, and the ahi tuna appetizer. Got a bottle of wine with dinner, desert drinks and port wine too. Feeling it the next day for sure!
Got the bone in ribeye with blue cheese crust, sides of creamed spinach and these really great mushrooms. I ended up getting the fried oyster appetizer on the side and a Cesar salad. My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass and loved it. Chocolate sin cake for dessert and brought some leftovers home too. It’s nice to see familiar faces on the wait staff that have been there for years at this point. Just a great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion at. Has always been top notch!
Me and my girlfriend came here for dinner and we loved the atmosphere in the lovely historic building, as well as the amazing drinks, delicious food, and even better service from Phillip and Joe.
I went here for an anniversary dinner. Started off with a salad, which was fine. I had the fried oysters which were excellent and came with a nice remoulade. I ordered the prix fixe meal with the filet and lobster. Filet was buttery, very tender, cooked perfectly. The lobster tail was also cooked well and had good flavor. Sides were a mixed bag. The mashed potatoes tasted artificial. Very light and unsubstantial. The brussel sprouts were decent, but once I added some additional honey to them to balance out the bacon, they were very good. Also tried the crab cakes, which were very meaty and flavorful. The manager must have read my mind, because he offered to bring out some more of the remoulade that came with the oysters, which really took the crab cakes to another level. For dessert, I had the signature cheesecake, which was very good.
Ruth Chris was great. Food was the best of the best. Steaks were the best I have ever eaten as far as quality, tenderness, cooked, etc. The sides and salads were delicious too and the Silver Oak red wine. Desserts were so good. This is the place to go for the best of the best. Service was great too.

It was our first time and it was very pleasant..
Top notch. Great service drinks and food
The wait staff was too short and our waiter appeared to have too many tables; he was very busy whole time. The plates fit the portions but no room to slice or to fit servings from sides. When I sliced into my lamb chop , grease spattered onto my blouse. An anniversary dinner for that price point should have been more intimate. Was seated at a table for 4 instead of 2. Dessert menus were laid down and complimentary desert for anniversary was not presented until after we had declined desert and we were waiting for check. From time check was asked for, took 40 mins to walk out.
As usual our steaks were cooked to perfection! Service was excellent with a nice atmosphere of classical music in the background. We will be back!
Overall, it was very good, as expected at all of the Ruth Chris restaurants that I have been to. We tried something new, the bone in filet, which was just okay, according to my husband. The flavor was good, but it was tough ( surprisingly) near the bone. Maybe it is supposed to be that way, but we were surprised. Everything else was fantastic, and we will be back.
