Ruth's Chris Steak House

Everything was absolutely great from the moment we walked until we left the restaurant. Service was amazing, Nick took a great care of us

We made a reservation for 8:00 and when we arrived the hostess told us it would be a few minutes. She then asked if we would be interested in their private dining room for two, as the main dining room was very crowded and there would be a much longer wait. We agreed and were seated in a tiny closet with just enough room for a table and 2 chairs. The door was closed behind us and it was very claustrophobic. We ordered drinks and decided we were really missing out on the Ruth's Chris experience sitting in that small room away from everything. The waiter was rather unfriendly and it took 15 minutes to bring drinks. When he returned, we asked to move and they obliged. The dining room was lovely with a pianist. There appeared to be plenty of room so I'm not sure why we weren't seated there in the first place. Once we were seated the waiter suggested we need to "get the food going as soon as possible." The ceasar salad was delicious. Top 5. The steaks were both super disappointing. The ribeye was seasoned well and cooked correctly but not a good piece of meat. It was very tough and gritty. The petite filet was just meh. For the cost, I would expect much better service and food.

We hadn't been to Ruth's Chris for some time. All the Historic charm is still there and they have made some menu changes which are dfinite improvements, while keep the great ones from "days of yore". Damian and all the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful, and excellent. Going early gave great advantages; great parking and less noise. But we did mess hearing the pianist.

You can always count on amazing food at Ruth's Chris Steak House. But making our dinner even extra special was our server Sarah. Just the right amount of attention, terrific personality, and helpful suggestions. It was a lovely evening.

Our dinner was a disappointment. My wife and have been going to Ruth's Chris for years for the quality service and excellent food. Our dinner last night was a let down. The service was poor and the food was good but not as good as it has been in the past. My wife and I ate at Perry's (another high steak restaurant) a couple of days before and the quality of the steak was excellent and the service was much better than what we had at Ruth's Chris.

Always a great meal. Food was brought out quickly. The waitress made a mistake on the wine charge but corrected it promptly. Will definitely come back.

Great place. Service and food was excellent. It's definitely pricey though. Two people, one cocktail each, salads, entrees, one desert, and tip...nearly $300.

The food was delicious and the service was top notch! Austin was one of the attentive, respectful , knowledgeable and courteous waiters that we've ever had the pleasure of working with. A+++ There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided before we could get the words out of our mouths. Well done, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse- Richmond!! WELL DONE. . .

All food items were great, except maybe the mac and cheese. Tasted okay but I have had much better both at home and at other restaurants. Our server, Kay B was absolutely wonderful!

I took my husband here for his birthday and requested the private room(a must!!!) the room had such a nice ambiance. We got greeted by our server,Timothy. It turned out we knew him from when he had waited on us at bookbinders before. This was our first time to Ruth's Chris and having Timothy as our server again made the experience so much better. Timothy is very knowledgeable about the menu and history of the restaurant, which made our experience so much better. He had amazing recommendations for wine, apps, and entrees. Everything was so good and I highly recommend going to Ruth's Chris, requesting the private room, requesting Timothy as your server, and trying as much as you can from the menu - ask Timothy what to get. You won't be disappointed!!!

First the staff was spot on, the food was what you expect from a well train chef, my wife and I really enjoyed the experience , just wonderful!!

Service was extremely disappointing. Water glasses never refilled. Had to ask a few times. Many times waitress disappeared and was no where to be found. Food-Appetizers were terrific. Had the tuna and ravioli. Main course-Rib eye was terrific and loved the mashed potatoes. The pork chop was cooked perfectly. Sad to say the fillet was disappointing. Lacked flavor and was not tender all. Gave us the dessert menu and the waitress didn't come back for 10/15 minutes. The manager came over and finally took our dessert order.

This was our favorite Ruth's Chris restaurant of all time. It was a very warm room with beautiful piano music playing. The food was exactly how we asked for it. Kay, our waitress, picked up on all the details. Excellent service

Ruth Chris is always a perfect choice fir an elegant dining experience. Not only is the food delicious, but the ambience is beautiful! It is also special because the waiters/waitresses/hostesses, etc. are very attentive. Thank you, Ruth Chris!
