The Boathouse at Sunday Park

Yesterday afternoon I was amazed to watch a young lady named Sasha at the Boathouse at Swiftcreek execute her duties with such energy and charisma. This young lady was a superstar that did not shy away from any work load no matter how big the task. Though she did not provide service to my table while there her efforts should not go unnoticed. We had an amazing server Hayden who was very amiable and attentive. Food for the most part was OK. Very disappointed in some of our former favorites. The hush puppies were terrible & didn’t even taste like hush puppies. The Pzookie which used to serve 4-5 people now barely served 2. The hostess (Chasity) when we got there was very rude and condescending. We had reservations for 7 and there were 5 of us there but she refused to seat us. There was no one else in the restaurant. After some “testy” conversation she seated us but made sure we knew that this was not their policy & that next time this would not happen. We hadn’t been since the debacle with the ordering online and the automatic 20% add on. Thought we would give a try again for some one’s birthday & it reiterated why we don’t patronize Boathouse

Great service, beautiful outdoor seating, excellent food! Hayden was our server and he was on point! He gave recommendations as we requested, was prompt and attentive. Go before the sun sets to enjoy the beauty of the water. I had a fabulous birthday dinner there, I'll be back!

This is a hidden gem in Midlothian, a staple for locals and visitors alike. It has been a number of years since the last visit. How refreshing to see the classic boat house decor updates but the overall atmosphere remains the same. Excellent service and Sunday brunch was very nice, from the fresh baked biscuits and smooth French press coffee, to the entrees. Looking forward to our next visit to Richmond so we can try lunch or dinner at the Boathouse.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our sever, Eli was friendly and attentive. He was nice enough to take our dessert off our bill when he heard it was our anniversary. The place not only had great food but also nice views of the lake. We will definitely be coming back.

So relaxing on the deck! Weather was great! Our server, Alex, was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the menu and food. Great suggestions. The German reisling is a must if you prefer white wine. Excellent late lunch date!

I went to the boathouse recently for my fathers birthday and it was a terrible experience. We ordered the crispy calamari which were not fried enough and tasted like it didn't have any salt or pepper in the batter before they fried it. My sons got the boathouse burgers requested medium rare, and two came cooked all the way through and tasted burnt. My brother got fish and chips and they fish tasted like the batter wasn't seasoned at all. Fries were not hot either. My father got the steak and eggs and the steak, which was asked to be cooked medium rare, had no pink inside. The only good thing was the view. We were so excited coming here and looking at all the five star reviews, which i think are false and written at the request of owners and we left so disappointed. .
