Place an online order for pickup. The store was quite with only 2 other people in there, and ladies working were super nice and attentive! However my food was a mess. Paid extra and ordered avocado on my wrap and there was no avocado. Ordered a salad, that should come with chicken, and there was no chicken on my salad. I had to ask for my side of sweet potatoes I paid extra for as well for dressing, which there were out of so they gave me 2 bags of chips in place. Added extra granola on my açaí bowl and there was no granola at all. Overall terrible experience and will not be returning.

Their smoothies taste fine until you find a hair in it. When I called for a refund they refused to give me one over the phone and made me download the app to REQUEST a refund. I had a hair in my smoothie, drank some, and now have to wait to see if I can even get money back?! Absolutely ridiculous, this company needs a better system and this locations workers need better customer service training.

I went to the 15521 WC Commons Way location on my lunch break. I entered the Cafe and was not greeted or recognized for standing at the counter by the 3 young employees who were there (2 girls 1 boy). The two young ladies were working hard fulfilling food and drink orders, but the young man could be seen leaning on the counter by one of the young ladies obviously looking down at his phone. I observed the two girls give other patrons their orders and the young man stayed in the back. It wasn't until two teenage girls came in to place an order that the young man came from the back and greeted everyone before taking my order. I have not experienced this before in any business. I will say that all the other patrons who came in and out as I waited were not as melenated as me. I ask that some more training be done, including Mindfulness and Diversity.

I have always had great customer service, but unfortunately the cafe is very dirty. The bathroom is filthy, tables are all scattered, chairs are scattered, the floor needs to be sweep and mopped , most of the light bulbs are burned out, there has been a ladder and boxes in the hallway to the bathrooms now for months, terrible dust on the a/c vents, the filter is black on the a/c intake, today no cookies in the display, signs were down on the counter. There is no excuse to a dirty facility.
Love the food. It is great service and always there for help. They will remake your smoothie if you dropped and and ask them.

Not all Tropical Smoothie establishments operate in such a "smooth" fashion. The folks that work at this store understand customer service, are super friendly, get your order right, and know that you want to drink or eat something quick. In today's fast food environment, this store stands out for speed, efficiency, freshness, and cleanliness. I've visited other Tropical Smoothie franchises in the RVA, and this one is by far the BEST! Try one of the combo meals-drinks to get your money's worth. Lots to choose from. Kids drink and meals are great today.

This place has the worst customer service and doesn’t care if they get the order right or wrong!! Also why have a phone number if no one picks up?! The only reason why I go is it’s healthier than regular fast food options on the go. I’ve had watered down smoothies to sandwiches with no sauce and barely any meat to just plain ok wrong sandwich made period!! Tropical smoothie should take better pride in how they treat their customers!! And if you don’t want the job go somewhere else but don’t make the environment suck for everyone that has to deal with you

severely understaffed. i came at 7:00 pm on Saturday and the store was kinda empty. my friend and i were deciding our order for a minute or two when we noticed that there were no cashiers and the only people there other than us were two guys in the back making burritos. after like five minutes no one asked for our order and by now three other people had came into the cafe. we waited for a total of 15 minutes before leaving. immediately after we left (of not getting our order taken) another person in line left too. of course, i don't blame the workers. literally no cashiers and the only two employees looked like they soul had just been drained. please hire more people! way too understaffed
