I called at 8 pm (last minute on a FRIDAY!!) and was able to secure a reservation for a party of 5 at 8:30!! Great start. Then, our server met with us and the evening went into high gear.Cassidy is a real asset to the team! She was personable, friendly, very courteous, and professional in her service at our table. She actually enhanced the overall experience! We were very well taken care of. Please share this note with her. Our out of town guests were most appreciative of her work.

Food was delicious and service was great. Went during the week for lunch for my sister’s birthday. Made a reservation for 12pm. Server was great, didn’t have to ask for anything. Sister got a birthday dessert too so that was a very nice touch.

Great quality sushi, nice presentation and cozy atmosphere! Highly recommend the specialty rolls and the lamb lollipops (the peanut sauce is insane).

Wild Ginger’s old fashioned cocktail is the best I’ve had! I love mezcal, and even though it wasn’t on the menu, the bartender made me an Oaxaca Old Fashioned - it was utterly amazing! The happy hour menu is wonderful! I recommend the lemongrass chicken dumplings and teriyaki wings. Wild Ginger is the best sushi place around. The atmosphere is cozy, but upscale and hip. Wild it is a place a woman can go alone comfortably. The bartenders treat you like family, and so do the neighborhood patrons!

No tables were available when we stopped by without a reservation. We managed to get 2 seats at the bar together when someone offered to move over a seat. Most everyone at the bar was drinking wine which I later found out was a great price on happy hour. In fact a lot of people had ordered a second glass to sit in front of them while finishing the glass in hand. The happy hour price was ending in a few minutes so they ordered early to save money. It took a while for us to get the bartenders attention to order a drink and we ordered appetizers right away when he came over. The food was good but a bit pricy. Atmosphere was modern and classy.

EDIT: 1st time I went it was pretty good, that can no longer be said. We just left disgusted due to a pungent smell of urine coming from the booth we were seated. Even without that I wouldn't eat here. The menu has been changed to feature mostly just tempura and avocado filled rolls to increase their profit margin instead of the inspired, quality menu they won awards for. Super disappointed and will definitely be sharing my opinion on this change in quality with other sushi fans in the central Virginia area. You're way better off driving 15-20 mins to the city for restaurants that actually keep up with and care about the quality of their establishment and the food that leaves their kitchen.

Best sushi in Midlothian area and a great atmosphere for a nice dinner. Indoor and outdoor space when the weather is nice. Gets a little busy, but they do a great job!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
