No surprise that The Locke Store, a gourmet restaurant, is one of the highly rated, most praised places to eat in the northern Shenandoah Valley. It's open for breakfast and lunch serving delicious high quality farm to table dishes. Enter the Locke Store and you walk on history. It was build in 1834 in Millwood, VA. It's not fancy but the menu is superb, the staff is outstanding, attentive, and gracious.

We enjoyed eating our delicious lunch in the log cabin next to the deli. The beautiful patio behind the cabin is a fantastic spot for outdoor dining as well. Do not miss this hidden gem, we love it there. The art show across the street and the antique store around the corner were enchanting. I will post photos and a little video! Charming gourmet grocery/deli in an attractive village. Service was excellent. Has good stock of wines. The curried egg salad was delicious and the chocolate mousse pie was to die for. Well worth making it a destination.
