One of the absolute best meals I've ever had. They just don't make food like this anymore most places. We were able to get a reservation same day on a Friday. Our server, Kristy, was incredible. We plan to be back many times!!!!

Sunday brunch was amazing. 9 of us and everyone complimented on how delicious the food was. Save some money and get a pitcher of Bloody Mary to share.

I got the Steak Frites! It was the best I've ever had! Melt in your mouth! Our waitress was awesome! My brother had ribs and I thought he was going to eat the bones!

We went for dinner last night. Upon arrival the place is really pretty and there was plenty of parking. We made a reservation for 4 so we arrived a few minutes earlier and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was also serving a wedding party that was seated in the upper part of the restaurant. I wish I could remember her name but she was really sweet and considering the fact she was attending a wedding party as well she was patient with our order and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered appetizers (Bang Bang Shrimp & Spinach & Artichoke Dip) nothing to brag about really. I was good but nothing to brag about. We also ordered drink which were fine but my Expresso Martini was horrible. It tasted like day old coffee with old vodka there was no way I could drink it and I tried but I just couldn’t do. I drank water the rest of the evening. For dinner one of us had Texan Ribeye Steak which was alright, 2 of us ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Scampi when the plate arrived I asked my husband if it had shrimp cause they were so small you could hardly see them. He said the sauce was too watery. I had the Teriyaki Stir Fry and it was horrible, the vegetables we over cooked the all I had was an overload of tofu and I found one broccoli the rest was sauce and spoonful of pasta the waitress must have notice cause she asked me if I wanted a too box and I said no. We didn’t even order dessert we paid our bill and went outside for the live music. We had a few drinks outside enjoyed the outdoor which was really nice. When the music started my friend was really excited but after 4 songs were out of there. The music was so slow you couldn’t even sing along it felt like you were watching paint dry. I dont think anyone else was paying attention cause at times the people talking and laughing was louder than the music. We came. We saw, We ate & drank and We were out of there. I always say never say never but I don’t think we will be going back.

Our first time at brunch. Staff is cordial and the atmosphere was great. Had a musician who was good but so loud we couldn't talk to each other. The food was not as good as we expected. The grits had a burnt taste and one person's toast was burnt. Everything else as just OK. Not what we were expecting for our special occasion.

Mediocre food, lackluster service, city prices in the boondocks, the bar musicians tried to make up in sound level (noise) what they lacked in talent. I was sitting outside and it was too loud. I guess without much competition, they do not have to try too hard.

We make sure to get at least one dinner here every time we come to the lake. The Texas Ribeye is one of the best steaks I've ever had, and I've had a few. Atmosphere is always welcoming. They have a nice wine and bourbon selection. I don't think we've ever had anything from the menu we didn't love. Keep an eye out for their live music schedule. More than a couple of times we've been pleasantly surprised with a good night of music after our dinner. 100% would recommend!

Food is excellent if you dont mind waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get your food

Been here many many times. This is a more upscale place for the area in terms of food and prices, which is refreshing. They have a great wine selection too. On certain days they have live music in the barn with a pizza oven and bar. The covered outdoor patio is lovely. The service is always great. The indoor bar is also nice to sit at when tables are full- which often they are and they recommend reservations. The only complaint is, given the cozy space inside, when there are large parties, which there often is, the atmosphere suffers. On our last visit, we were having a lovely couples dinner but then had a party of 18 (spanning 3 large tables) sat beside us, and a party of 8-10 sat on the other side. Of course it got loud with all of them trying to talk to each other across the table(s) and we felt cramped. We opted to finish eating quickly and take our wine outside. This type of situation has happened many times. Just go in with that possibility in mind and you’ll have a great time. My suggestion would be for the restaurant to only sit large parties upstairs and prioritize a more intimate setting downstairs- such an approach pairs well with the quality of the food and drink.

I tried to get a meal here and they ignored me because I am colored. I asked for a menu and water and she ignored me. I left because I was not getting service and left my keys. When I came back to ask for them the entire staff denied seeing my keys. One of the servers described my keys exactly. So she knew where my keys were but did not give them to me because her manager told her not to. It took me asking for the videotape footage for the manager to give me my keys back! I cannot believe that they can treat someone so horribly! This is the worst place I’ve ever been to! I’ve never experienced such horrible racism in my life!

We live locally and to say we frequent this place would be an understatement. It’s definitely our go to for a nice dining experience at the lake. The servers all work their tails off and the food does not disappoint. Save room for dessert!

I called the restaurant and left a message about getting a reservation. Nobody ever called me back. Then at 45 minutes after I had requested the reservation they called and asked if we were coming in. Nobody bothered to call me back to even say I had a reservation and it was my 42nd wedding anniversary.

So owners response was basically to call me, the customer a liar. Say what you will. The fact is I never heard a word from the restaurant until 45 minutes after what my reservation was supposed to be. I checked my phone. No worries, there are plenty of good restaurants around here to eat at.

Love the grounds and the structures here. They've created an oasis in our neck of the woods and a refuge to come enjoy the great food and sit at the bars for a wonderful concoction to warm the soul. The staff are all friendly and keen to ensure you have an enjoyable experience so you want to come back for more!
