The sand bar burger is the best burger. The kids menu is funny. The service was excellent. The food over all was amazing.

Great meal on the patio with awesome view. Our waiter Dannis was charming and attentive. They didn't mind our contained pup that was with us and offered her water. Do yourself a favor and SKIP Tim's on Lake Anna and go here to the Cove at Lake Anna . Such a nice friendly environment to enjoy a reasonable great meal on the water
I only rated the food low cause I wasn’t happy about my Cesar salad. I paid $9.99 to have steak as my topping. Well when I got it, it was 4 tiny strips of griddle on it. I was shocked. I paid a total of $25 for the worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had. My husband got the wrap (he said it was okay) and my daughter got the 6 boneless wings with fries. Total was close to $100 w/ tip. I was shocked. Good thing I didn’t bring my other 4 kids cause I would have probably had to take a loan out just to buy dinner there. Loved the view and the server was amazing, but the food wasn’t worth the price.

Was greeted by an aggressive employee about sitting outdoors with a threat of rain. Really set the tone for the experience

Would be a good place to visit if you get the right server or perhaps sit by the bar. Bar has a view of the cove. Do not sit in the front at night if you can help it unless you like headlights shining on you. Also, the jerk chicken is some kind of bbq sauce - not a dry rub. Service was okay - lava cake was great.
All and all, I'm sure if you're a regular, you will get better service.
Parking: Lots of parking at 10pm, unsure what its like during the day

We had a great time here, service was amazing at the bar. Initially there was a wait at the time we arrived. Food was pretty great, recommend the Mahi Mahi either fried or in their tacos. Can't wait to go back on our next visit.

I met friends on a September Thursday at The Cove before going to our weekend rental. The Cove was a nice relaxed start to our weekend, the service was friendly and attentive. The food was good, beer was cold!
I would recommend The Cove as a light meal during your visit to the Lake Anna area.
Next door to The Cove there is a public boat launch of you are interested.

Expensive for what you get. Once the summer weather disappears, the overall value of going here disappears since the food/service is mediocre.
