The food is grossly oversalted, the queso was thinner than the tea, and the ground beef was raw.

Excellent food and excellent service. They handled a large group of us quickly and efficiently. Was great eating while looking out over the water.

The waiter, God bless him was not very sufficient at his job. The shrimp that I had tasted like it's full of water. I believe this was from not throwing the shrimp out correctly. But I do love the way the restaurant was set up. And they're Margaritas did not taste bad.

Food was bland and came out cold, only thing that came out hot was the ceviche which should have been the only thing that should have been cold, the avocado they put on top was really dark. Gave this place a second chance and it was worse than the first one!

Just don't bother. If it's busy at all you'll wait an hour to sit and the food is not worth it. This is the third year in a row we've come here during vacation. Last year the mixed drinks were horrible and food quality stunk. This year we actually sat pretty quickly but my Nachos we're soggy from swimming in a lake of liquid at the bottom of the plate and the ground beef had absolutely no taste at all. It was just gross. The one in Westlake is much better.

The Mexican at the bridge is so much better since the brakes that own Cancun took it over. I highly recommend it if you want some great Mexican at the lake!

Authentic Flavors with Lakefront Charm – A Hidden Gem on Smith Mountain Lake!
From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive—like being invited into someone’s home. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, offering great recommendations and always checking in at just the right moments.
Now, the food: absolutely top-notch. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavor—from the perfectly spiced carnitas tacos to the rich, velvety mole that clearly took hours to prepare. The guacamole was fresh and zesty.
What really sets this spot apart, though, is the combination of quality cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and a beautiful setting right on the lake. Whether you’re visiting Smith Mountain Lake or lucky enough to live nearby, this restaurant is a must-visit. We’ll be back—again and again.
