I want to start of by saying I enjoyed many times dining here and purchasing food to go. Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience with how my order was handled. I picked up the wrong food realizing this to late I called and thought it would be an easy fix! It wasn’t…. I called and immediately the man on the other line was explaining how it’s my fault that I picked the wrong order, but what they fail to acknowledge is they handed my partner the food and gave confirmation it was our order. They were wrong in how the situation was handled and if I wanted a refund I most go in person. Mind you I live about 15 minutes away.
Moral of the story… don’t order carry out they will gas light you and make you feel crazy when you’re the “customer”…. I was simply trying to enjoy lunch on my break but they made it difficult and made me look like the bad guy. Please to the owners of this great restaurant. You have people working for you who argue with customers instead of fixing the problem this was an awful experience and I recommend everyone to stay away. I asked for a refund not for anything free. The worker was an older gentleman that not only failed at his job but instead of helping made things much worse.

El Torreno Mexican Bar and grill r you deserve better and should have individuals that actually help with your establishment. Your staff shouldn’t try to pick fights with paying customers. This is not customer service. The level of unprofessional was just too much and quite frankly unacceptable. To conclude my statement I will not be returning to this El torreno and will warn my inner circle from visiting.

Arrived before 9pm Aug 9th. We normally love this place, but last night was not typical at all. We frequent this restaurant and normally it’s very good. Normally the chips & salsa bar are great, last night the chips were so stale they were chewy and the salsa bar was almost empty, with the exception of the very hot stuff. Our dinners themselves were fine, took a while, but good. We never received our bill and even went to go get our own to
go container. When we went to leave, after waiting for the bill, and never receiving it, the girl at the counter said “oh, I have your bill right here”. We had been sitting waiting for the bill. Again, normally good but really disappointed in last night experience.

I have been a customer here since they first came to the lake and always enjoyed it until the past couple of years. We stopped going after the food quality went down and we had also ordered margaritas during one visit and they tasted like fruit juice (no hint of tequila), we told the waitress and she offered to bring us each a shot of tequila to add to them, which would have been fine, but we were charged for the margaritas and the shots also. We decided to give them another try over the past several months and all was good for a couple times. Then last time we were there, we told the waitress that we would be away from the table for a few minutes and to leave our food that we would be back. We returned less than 5 minutes later and they had cleared our table, over half of our food, drinks and our keys. We tried it again tonight and specifically told the waitress not to touch our table that we would be back in a couple minutes...came back and they had taken our food, drinks and keys AGAIN!!! We will not be returning again.

My go to spot for mexican food. I recommend everyone to come here for real authentic mexican food. The food is amazing , my absolute favorite in the area. 10/10 ??

The food was absolutely amazing!!! I hate to add this but the service was awful!! Wasn't business but took forever to check on us, would be sitting in a booth talking. Didn't bring more chips when we ran out and took forever to get my credit card back! I had to get up and ask for it. Again, the food was the best all the way around and for any of the other places in that area. But I am very unsure about returning and dining in. Very lucky my boyfriend left I tip because I wouldn't have.

Waitress made amazing accommodations. She made us margaritas and adjusted my meal according to my dietary needs. Super appreciative!!! ?

First visit and certainly not my last. Went today for lunch and had an ACP with pineapple. It was very delicious. They additionally have a pick-your-own sauce area for chips at no extra charge. They even have the lunch menu items available all day for only a buck fifty more. What a steal! Service was excellent and so was the food.
