Pay attention to the reviews!! I didn’t post on the food because I waited 2 hours for food and never got it! We tried twice and both times waited over as n hour for food. Only reason it’s in business is because it’s on the lake. Don’t need fooled unless you got 2 or 3 hours to wait on chips and food.

Came here once by myself and sat at the bar to have a margarita while waiting for my boyfriend to get off of work across the street; and the owner came up behind me (very close) asking how I could possibly be alone. Very creepy and unprofessional. Decided I wouldn’t ever go there by myself again.A few weeks later (recently) my boyfriend and I went here to get dinner. First, the host asked if we wanted inside or outside, to which we replied outside- she seemed annoyed that we wanted to sit outside. So why did you ask in the first place?? Then, I wanted to order the Fajita Nachos, so I asked what came on them and the waitress pointed to the Nachos supreme listed right above it and said “pretty much everything on these nachos, but with the fajita veggies”. So i clarified “so it comes with lettuce, sour cream, and jalapeños right?” And she said yes.The food comes out, my meal is a lousy amount of tortilla chips with barely half of them topped with any cheese, a sprinkle of chicken, and practically raw peppers and onions. No lettuce, sour cream, or jalapeños. I didn’t want to complain, so I asked our waitress if I could please have some lettuce, jalapeños, and sour cream to put on the nachos. Even after adding these, the nachos were a 3/10 at best.THEN, we get the bill and she charged me $5.00 extra for lettuce and jalapeños. So I kindly explain that she told me they were supposed to come with those toppings which is why I asked for them after the food came out and she very rudely told me she never said that (which my boyfriend also heard her say) and was trying to argue with me about it, and I told her if I knew it was that much extra I would have gotten something else. She finally said she’d take it off. On another note, $5.00 for a small scoop of shredded lettuce and a few sliced jalapeños????

Stood at hostess station for 5 mins, was told multiple times someone would be with us. Place was not busy at all, let me add that! Finally got seated…sat there for 10 mins while being acknowledged but nobody actually came to the table to take our drink order. Same lady that noticed us sitting there waited on the two families that came in shortly after us. 5 mins later…nothing! So we got up and left while the owner I’m assuming as he walked around talking to folks, noticed us leaving and said nothing. Will never waste our time with them again, especially after we have them a chance since others complained about the place!

Owner is a Alcoholic. He toucbed my girlfriend and was talking in her face slurring at the bar and he tried to fight me for bringing a pizza in that i wasn't eating, because i was waiting for my Girlfriend and her friend to order their food and drinks. I ASKED THE SERVER IF I COULD ALSO!! I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS MAN! Who touches customers and treats them so rude and harsh. YOUR A JOKE TO THE SML COMMUNITY!

The food here was great. The servers were attentive to the best of their abilities. However, all the kids meals came out last and were completely cold and wrong. There was hair in our nachos. And 2 entrees were not what we ordered. The manager was getting wasted at the bar and being felt up right in front of us as we waited for some attention to try and correct all the issues. And when she finally did she laughed at us as she reeked of tequila. Her man that was rubbing her up and down her shorts was behind the bar as well whenever they weren’t drinking shots. By far the worst customer service experience of all time.

Ordered a margarita and it was virgin. Wait for food was ridiculous. Ordered kids chicken tenders. Got a different kids meal. Had to go next door to get my child something to eat. The waitor disappeared. Another person tried to help, gave wrong info and also disappeared. Bathrooms were filthy. Not sure what happened today. I've been here before and it was great. Not sure if there are new owners, but I can say that I won't be back. ✌️

We were looking for a place to eat lunch on a Wednesday and found this one. We sat on the outside deck overlooking the beauty of the lake. The service was friendly and fast. The food options were plentiful. Everyone in our group selected a desirable dish. The food arrived in a short time, presented wonderfully. We all agreed that the food was very favorable and delicious. We highly recommend the Mexico Viejo Tequila Bar.

Been here many times but food was better than ever recently. Little bit of a delay getting food but it was worth it. Love the view and being able to take the dog on the back deck. Forgot to take food pics!

The only plus for this place was the location. Food quality and taste was not great. The entree portions were kid sized. First time at a Mexican restaurant was hungry after the meal and had to fill up on chips.
Out of town for work and was told this place is a gem. That was an understatement!! Just WOW! Warm and attentive service in a fun and festive atmosphere with amazing food! We really enjoyed eating alfresco during the warm evening. Can't wait to try some more!

Best Mexican restaurant at the lake with the best view and I should know?the chefs are amazing, the food is always good even on a busy Friday and Saturdays and nights!!! Always fun and excitement to be had—the pictures are from the “Pancakes and Pirates” day breakfast that the owner hosts yearly for the kids and their families. I do know it stays open year round so no matter the time of year you can have an amazing view, great drinks and delicious food!!!

I eat and drink here regularly. As a local bartender I see the good, the bad, and the ugly that this area has. This place does outstanding work considering the small staff it has. One or two bartenders and 4 or 5 servers cover the 150+ seats and 10 or 11 hour work days quite well. The kitchen uses fresh, top quality ingredients. Don't order a beef taco if you're expecting ground beef, or taco bell mystery goop. It's grilled steak. They use whole chicken and make broth/stock from the leftovers that don't go into main dishes. Sometimes you gotta read a room. If you walk in and the place is packed or sense a tense situation, there's other options around the lake. If you're looking to feed a family for $20 and/or get drunk and pig out on free chips and salsa, find something else.

The hostess was amazing and super sweet to my 2 year old daughter, but it ended there . Waited an hour for our food . Did not get the right food for my 2 year old . Was charged for something we did not order. Margaritas were cheap amd poorly made. Then the next morning while checking bank account realized that someone apparently gave themselves an extra 10.00 on the tip. Would never have tipped over 30 percent for poor service.
