I visited and explored a flight of their dry reds. The Trevini was a simple wine which is very approachable by the novice. The chambourcin was a very complex wine giving way to notes of an apple and plum pie cooked in a woodfired oven. The cabernet franc yields notes of banana laffy taffy and tuity fruity with a finish of vanilla. The Robusto gives characters of smoked meats with a finish of cherry. It was an overall great experience.

We visited on a Bachelorette Trip to Smith Mountain Lake. I ordered the "Steph's Favorites Flight (sweet)." Each sip resembled an overwhelming perfume-like taste, lacking subtlety in the "hints" of fruit flavors. Instead of nuanced hints, the entire wine profile was dominated by a single, overpowering fruit. It might have been the flight I picked but I did not enjoy it that much. If you enjoy fruit flavored wine, this is the flight for you! My friends enjoyed the white flight. The atmosphere was nice with a deck overlooking the vineyard which created a nice background for pictures.

Good wine and beautiful venue. We did the dry white and dry red flights which were good. Did not get to try the sangria but maybe next time.

Beautiful winery, nice people working there but the wine was pretty bad. One had a horrible smell. The sangrias were good.

Was expecting great wine and customer service when I went. Instead the lady was on FaceTime while we were ordering. They have fixed flights, prices were high (which I’m fine with if the wine is good). The interior smelled, pours were generous, but the wines weren’t even wines. I’d recommend sticking to the sangria, you’d have better luck there. The sweet flight had a glass poured from a bag… the sweet wines were Smokey with oak flavours. The dry flight had wines that smelled horrific. The views were okay but sadly we will not be returning. Also, didn’t find out the credit/debit machine was down until we were trying to pay.

The owner was very friendly and the sangrias were good but if you're looking for good wine this isn't the winery for you. We had the dry white flight and they definitely don't know how to make wine. There is a great patio to sit outside and enjoy the view of the vineyard. I would recommend a flight of sangrias, it's a nice way to spend a couple hours with friends.

We just had wine and a cheese plate at the Ramulose Winery. This is our third year visiting this winery. As usual, we had a wonderful experiece. We especially enjoyed the Pina Colada sangria and the Blush wine. The atmosphere and service were spectacular!

Ramulose Ridge is a relaxing place to unwind. The wines are okay. I think with some time and experience they'll get better. The facilities are clean and well cares for. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We love to come here and enjoy the great people (especially Christina) and just take in the gorgeous landscape views.

The hubs and I absolutely loved our visit here while at the lake for a week last month. It's an absolutely lovely setting made even better with some really nice lounging options outside, not to mention some very welcoming employees. We enjoyed a couple of flights, each finding some flavors we both loved and took home with us. A bonus, though, was the sangria! I had no idea they made sangria! We sampled a couple to see which ones we liked best, which I can honestly say was a difficult choice because they were ALL delicious! We left with a few pouches and a growler of sangria. Had we not just eaten lunch, we'd have gotten some charcuterie to go with our visit. Fortunately, we'll be back for more next time we're up at the lake.

The service was lovely and our server made great recommendations. Ambiance also got high marks-- gorgeous indoor and outdoor space available, even covered outdoor space for a rainy day like today. We only liked about half of what we tried beverage-wise, but if you like really sweet drinks, you'll be a very happy guest!
