Ordered the filet mignon with scallop potatoes and green beans everything was bland even ordered plate of lemons just to have flavor asked for A1 and waitress gave a hmph and didn't bring the A1 sauce acted as if I didn't need it green beans were very bland potatoes had cheese flavor and that was it would not recommend a return trip wifes salmon was dry

Had diner there yesterday evening and was not impressed at all. The wait staff was great. The food, not so much. I ordered the pasta bolongnese, the portion size was very small, my fist was bigger than the portion size. The noodles were not cooked enough and appeared to only have a small spoon of meat sauce over it. Even the truffle fry appetizer was half the size it was when I was there last, a year ago. The price certainly did not reflect such small portion sizes

It was a very busy night, and at the beginning they communicated well. However, missing one of our orders then having the 2 that were made sit while the third was redone meant the first 2 tasted awful. It wasn't a short wait, either.
Fries were great, lol...and knowing everywhere has bad nights I'm still leaning this is not somewhere we will return.

I consider The Blackwater a SML treasure. I literally feel like Norm from cheers when I arrive. 😆 Think the world of John, and the entire staff! Nick is the bomb with the cocktails too! Great food, cocktails and atmosphere as well! Big fan ❤️

Hands down, the best restaurant in the Moneta and Bedford area, and well worth the drive. Great family owned establishment and extremely well-run...our consistent go-to restaurant. All their dishes are FANTASTIC! - fresh, well prepared with a flair, and always generous portions. Make sure to hit their meatloaf and prime-rib nights - but, get there early because they can run out fast based on their popularity. Drinks and bartenders are OUTSTANDING! - well crafted, high quality, great value and great service. I can't say enough about the wait staff and manager - they are extremely friendly, incredibly attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you're comfortable and having a great experience - each and every time! Atmosphere is cozy, with fireplace in the main dining room, and the bar area (our favorite) has a nice, well-appointed neighborhood pub vibe to it. If you're looking for a sure-thing, then this is the place to go... bar none!
Everything was delicious and presentation was superb! I love that the fried pickles are spears and the breading doesn’t fall off even when you cut them. Was not a fan of the chairs, since they were rolling chairs and one of the wheels fell off. The rolling chairs are a bit strange. Otherwise, would definitely recommend, and we plan to be back again!
Kid-friendliness: Not the best place to bring kids. Better for a nice date.
