I lived in Bedford almost 12 years ago now and Tuscan Tavern was always a go to. Spent some years as an over-the-road trucker and now I am settled in Indiana, but one constant is we always find time to go to Tuscan Tavern when we visit VA every few years. The food is top notch (can't believe we found a real Italian place nestled into the woods of Moneta) and the people are always amazing. Tony and Maria are gems and their employees follow suit! My only concern is last night (10/14/23) at about 1930, they were already closed. No notice or anything. It was such a bummer. We were staying in Roanoke for one night so I demanded we make the trek to Moneta for it. Ended up ar some chain Italian place in a strip mall instead. Tony, or any employee who has the authority to respond to reviews, is everything okay? The phone line was still connected so I am confident you all aren't shut down, just worried for my favorite Italian food dealers ;) Hopefully I will be back VA way for my wedding next year and my partner and I can stop in again!

First of all, they should change the name, there is nothing of a Tuscan there. Then, if you like to drink and get drunk, that maybe a place for you. But, if you like to actually eat, go some place else.

Today was the second time we ate at Tuscan Tavern and it was fantastic! Tony is the nicest guy in the world and makes us feel very welcome! The first time I had the Boscaiola and really enjoyed the meal. This time I got the Tuscan Chicken and it did not disappoint! We both enjoyed our meals equally, the servings are more than generous with a salad and that delicious bread they cook in-house. We have every intention of being as regular as we can be considering we drive more then a half hour to get there from Roanoke. It is worth it!

You find Steelers bars in the darkest places around the country. Not only does this place have some impressive memorabilia but it also has fantastic Italian food and service from Brie to go with it. Tony the owner is a great guy and the whole atmosphere is warm festive and inviting. If you're in the area I can't recommend it highly enough!
