What a cool place in Monterey! We really enjoyed our stop at High’s Restaurant. I had the blackened trout, which was absolutely amazing, and my wife loved her mushroom and Swiss burger. The fries were excellent too—perfectly crispy with a great crunch, if that’s your thing!

I come here a few times a year and I'm not sure why my previous review is not showing. The place is consistently clean and the food is absolutely the best around. The staff is friendly and the locals are kind people. I drive an hour to come here! I've had the meatloaf and the pork chops it's difficult to decide what to eat when you come because it's a large menu selection and everything is great and I really appreciate the fresh salad bar with lots of options.
Highs Restaurant was delicious, warm, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed the chicken fried chicken and the hand-breaded chicken tenders with fries, and both were absolutely wonderful. It was home-cooked deliciousness from start to finish! My only regret is that we didn't save room for milkshakes.
