Beth at the Inn is one the kindest women I have ever had the experience of talking to. She was so accommodating for all my ever changing needs. Thank you so much!

This is my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and was really looking forward to experiencing all it had to offer. Unfortunately, the pub and restaurant was not open and was not communicated on their website nor in person when making reservations. So we were given $10 cards to use at the restaurant across the street. The A/C did not cool. The bed was hard. There’s no refrigerator or microwave for you to use which would have been nice to have since their restaurant and pub was not open. The owners seem like really great people, but I do think there are some real opportunities for them to make this a genuinely nice place.

The Inn was comfortable and a good choice for our extended weekend. Unfortunately the restaurant and the pub were not open during our stay, but we were given gift cards to use at the Art of Coffee each day. The Art of Coffee had a nice variety of omelets and other food options. The rooms were nice and the ability to control your room temperature was a plus. Other items of note: the Inn offers free WIFI and ample parking. However, the room did not come equipped with a TV or a fridge. This was fine for our purposes, but may be problematic for others.

Rooms are spacious with a bathroom. Beth was great host. Would highly recommend staying here. Unfortunately pub and restaurant temporarily closed. Will come back another time.

Let me start by saying I was basing my decision to stay on other reviews which included the restaurant that was part of the Inn. I understand that, unfortunately, the chef will very ill but this should have been communicated during the reservation process . It was nice to have the inn to ourselves, my husband and my son and his fiance but that's where the niceness ends. It is summer and it is hot! The aging AC units were turned on moments before we arrived and the manager, who met us there promised it would cool off. It did not! We were very uncomfortable and of course I felt bad because I chose the inn for our stay. When I explained the situation to the manager as we were leaving, (as soon as we could get out of there) she thanked me for bringing it to her attention and said she would get back to me with a possible adjustment. I called her later that afternoon and she said she had forgotten to show us a button that would have made the units work better and thanked me because NOW she would remember to show the next guest. Really?? A premium price for those rooms and we were miserable?? Sorry but a couple of bottles of complimentary water will not win us over. I'll take a hotel room with a working AC any time over that. home was so warm when we arrived as the host had just turned on the

We were travelling during the Covid shutdown to visit family who were camping nearby at Westmorland State Park.....we are not campers! What a charming place in this fairly remote location! The owner Beth was so helpful and charming, and on a Tuesday night we were alone at the B&B. The rooms are charming and spacious. It was sad to see the lovely downstairs areas all empty since the restaurant and Pub are not open now. Our stay included a gift certificate for a great breakfast across the street. Hope their business comes back when this pandemic is all over!!

Pub food Cold drinks I've only had wings and fries with a cold beer or three and it was very good. If you're down in the bar underneath it feels like you're entering a speak easy In the 1920s. Overall give them a visit and try it out yourself.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Montross for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We love the area of Colonial Beach/Montross/Westmoreland State Park, but had never stayed at the inn before. We absolutely loved it and we will definitely stay here again! The inn was very welcoming--we loved relaxing in the upstairs sitting room and on the front porch. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.

Food was great and ambience was great. They’re only doing catering now. They answered my emails and all worked very well.
