The food is great, I had the black grouper and my husband got the pork chop, both were delicious. the setting is obviously amazing. This is one of our favorite spots!

We have dined at the restaurant several times over the years. Before our experience this visit, I had read some negative reviews regarding service, food quality and cleanliness. I have to say that we found everything wonderful. We had reservations but arrived much earlier than expected to the restaurant. The Hostess was very accommodating and found an open table right away in the room with the Bar. (I would have enjoyed a table in one of the dining rooms better, which might have been the case had we stuck with our original reservation but we couldn't be picky since the Hostess was kind enough to provide us with an earlier lunch !) The food was delicious, served in a prompt time. Our waiter, Zach, was attentive and very pleasant. Even the servers who brought the food from the kitchen to our table were so nice ! My message in this review is "don't base your possible experience on the negative reviews" !!!

Our party of eight enjoyed our meals. We were there for brunch on Sunday morning and everyone enjoyed their food. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our food to be delivered to the table. All food was hot and good. We will definitely be back.

The food is delicious, especially the biscuits and sausage gravy! Their portions are more than enough. Ambiance and service is great. Good way to start our day of tours at Mount Vernon!

This is the place for celebrations and a great family meal. It is as formal or laid back as you desire. The food is terrific and the service- exceptional!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Enjoyed dinner at the Inn after a day of touring Mount Vernon. Our group of 4 had cornbread, butternut squash soup, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits, All of us enjoyed our food and the quiet atmosphere. Great service too. I highly recommend.

If you're visiting Mount Vernon, splurge and dine here. It's a lovely experience. 100% worth the coin you'll spend.

You dine at Mount Vernon for the experience and the peanut soup. Service was great, food ok. We were on a main traffic way for servers and people being seated in the bar area so noise and distractions were frequent. All said would come back.

Made reservations weeks ago but our table was near the kitchen and entryway. Noise level was too high. Food was great!
