Went to the red fox tavern. We relaxed in the lobby by the fire beforehand. They have an impressive set of beers on tap and a fully stocked bar. They gave us a sample of the beers and we just relaxed and enjoyed. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive.

I was visiting Natural Bridge for Luminary Nights and stayed at the Natural Bridge Hotel. Last evening I dined at the adjacent Red Fox Tavern which is connected to the Colonial Dining Room on the first floor, as the Colonial was not open at the time. I visited on a Saturday morning in mid-December and suspect that the hotel was not near capacity. I was seated promptly at about 8AM and the only others upon my arrival was an elderly (ie older than me) couple. My morning caffeine fix was delivered, and about 10 minutes later my selection which was a Power Bowl as I was in a health-conscious state of mind and had never tried the aforementioned ( I love that word!) before. Although the breakfast buffet was not open (not worth it for a handful or two of customers), the menu was adequate in my opinion, I mean, how many choices does one really need? I've enclosed a pic of the breakfast menu. My Power Bowl was too sweet for my liking, however perhaps insufficiently sweet to others. Another young couple (about my age) had ordered a traditional eggs, potato, and bacon meal, and the young woman exclaimed "Oh,that's not near enough food" ( her plate was basically overflowing) and the waitress cheerfully replied " Welcome to the back to bed platter" which I found amusing. My syrupy Power Bowl, OJ, coffee with 2 refills cost $15.58 which I thought was reasonable. All 4 servers acknowledged my presence, refilled my coffee, took away plates, and we're consistently warm and friendly. Oh, did I mention that the restaurant and hotel are adjacent to Natural Bridge State Park on US 11? In summary, I recommend highly!

Back in October I made reservations for my works Christmas party and when we showed up in December they didn’t know we were coming. I even did a confirmation the night before. The dining room was closed. They still sat us. They were out of a lot of food and we didn’t know until about 15/20 mins after people ordered. They were out of ice too. They did give us free breadstick but we were sat at 5:30 and didn’t get our food until 7:30. There was 15 of us BUT there was not a crowd. The waitress was friendly and it wasn’t her fault they were not prepared for us. But there was a lady who I assumed was management who was not friendly. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone in town. But my chicken tenders were good. I had to take it home because it took so long for the food to come.

Thanksgiving 2023 buffet was very disappointing. Not much to pick from. Nothing was fresh. Out of a can! $40 plus $15 service fee! Will not return. Giving poor review to friends.

Our servers were kind, attentive and Very friendly. Food was excellent, reasonably priced and delicious. The Hotel is a great stop over if you are looking for a classic stay from an era less hurried. Do yourself a favor, stay and eat here.

The servers were very rude. I wanted to leave as soon as I could because of how unwelcome I felt. The host wasn’t even there, I had to wait for 5 minutes before I was even seated, then they forgot my water. The server came back 20 minutes after that which I felt was a very long time. Then I ordered my food and was brought the WRONG DISH. Not only did I have to wait an additional 30 minutes for the food, I also had to re-order what I had originally asked for and they didn’t even do as much as OFFER a refund for their screw-up. I hated the restaurant and will never be coming back again. I’ve told many of my friends about this experience, I believe the dining room will gain a bad reputation in no time. The website says nothing about what the place is really like and what kind of food they serve. Food was awful and way overpriced as well. 0/10.

We saw the sign on the interstate, and stopped here while traveling. The dining room was so huge, so we decided to eat in the adjoining Red Fox Tavern. (Same menu) I ordered the steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and a salad. All were delicious. The staff was very friendly, polite, and expedient. The tavern, dining room, and bathrooms were very clean. This is all part of the Natural Bridge Historic Hotel.

I came with family last night the 9th, for my grandparents 60th anniversary. On the website it states that they have a wonderful seafood buffet from 5:30-9 everyday. My father called the restaurant to make reservations and to confirm that there would be a seafood buffet. The man with whom he spoke with confirmed with my dad that there was a seafood buffet and our reservation was secure. We get there and there is not a buffet. We were confused and asked and were told that due to money issues they were no longer doing the buffet. If they are not doing the buffet any longer then they should have informed us when we called and specifically asked if they were running the buffet. We use to love coming down to the hotel and dining in the restaurant but the food has drastically gone downhill and the pricing is ridiculous for what they offer. Very disappointed and we will not be coming back.

The crab legs and shrimp were delicious but for the price person ($54.95 plus $15 extra for crab legs), the buffet had no desserts (that I could find), the potatoes were uncooked, hamburger sliders were bloody in the center. Fried seafood what there was of it was terrible. Chicken nuggets were too spicy for a 3 year old. Overall it was not a pleasant eating experience. We will not be returning.

Went for Easter brunch and quite possible the worst meal I've ever had. When we arrived for our reservation we were told they had run out of the carving meats. If there were reservations, it seems like they would have know how much meat to have. Our brunch was "only" $18.95, for scrambled eggs, sausage, bread and green beans, odd combination. The salad bar was nearly empty and had nothing but a little lettuce and dressing. Service was awful, we had to find someone to get something to drink. We asked if any more food would be put out and were told " I don't know, I'm just the hostess". How about trying to find out?? No one asked how our food was, lucky for them. Never put any more food out except some prime ribs they laid out at the carving station that was so tough is was inedible. Awful experience, and painfully obvious no one cared. We used to love this place, it's a real shame how it has declined so badly. We saw a sign for the seafood buffet, $54.95 plus $15.99 if you want crab legs. Afraid to try!
