“It's not a fancy place but excellent food. The portions were huge, and the staff was friendly. You could tell it was a family feel with the staff.
Vegetarian options: We had a young lady woth us that was vegetarian and they made sure to make her whatever she wanted. they adapted the menu to provide her a healthy alternative.
Parking: Good location. Lots of parking
Kid-friendliness: Very good working worh the children and making sure they did not leave hungry. No kids' activities, but the food came out so fast they really didn't need to be entertained.“

We were traveling to Virginia Beach when we saw the sign for El Crucero y Taquería and decided to stop — and we’re so glad we did! The food is absolutely delicious, with a homemade flavor you can truly taste. The tacos have a unique and authentic flavor, just like something you’d get at home. If you enjoy real, home-style Mexican food, this place is a must-try. We’d definitely come back. A hidden gem!“

“I stopped in for dinner on a weeknight in May 2025, and it was a perfect dinner! I ordered one crab cake with mashed potatoes and homemade cole slaw. Everything was excellent. I expected a very good crab cake, here on the DelMarVa Penninsula, and I was not disappointed. It was a large, delicious broiled crab cake, and it was enough for me. The cole slaw was superb and the potatoes were good, as well. Good service, too, in a nice dining room. The platter cost about $20 plus drinks, so prices are not bad. Highly recommended.“

“We have been to Ray's many times over the years & it has always been a nice experience. Tonight was the WORST service we have ever had. On top of that, the stuffed shrimp was overcooked & only 4 shrimp for $35. For the amount of $ spent, it was highly disappointing all-around.“
