“Beach Road Roundup has the absolute BEST cheesesteak on Chincoteague! maybe the shore! They never disappoint me.“

“Our first time to Chincoteague and camping at Yogi. My husband was told we had to try Capt Zach’s well let’s just say we were not disappointed one bit. The freshest seafood I have had in along time. Our Waitress Valerie was very nice and attentive. If you go just know to go early. You will have a slight wait but you won’t be disappointed for sure. 10/10 will be back and it will be worth the 2 hr drive.“

“Server was great. Food was good, but prices were too high for the quality level of the food. Not a cheap breakfast for the 5 of us. I guess maybe island pricing, but where it is located is not near the vacationers, so who knows.
The seating near the windows could use a good cleaning; the table end, windows, window sills, etc. Someone I was with found it impossible to eat because of this and started cleaning said area. (Which then made it tough for me to eat).“

“I love all the pretty murals outside and inside this restaurant! It has a great ocean view! It was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. My fried cod and waffle fries were delicious! This is a historic building and it gives really interesting information on the menu about it. My partner loved his crab and artichoke dip. They had Keylime pie, but I didn’t get it (THIS time!). One of my kiddos had macaroni and cheese and it was the Kraft kind so that made his taste buds very happy! Their food came out on frisbees!“

When you're a tourist and don't know anything about the local restaurants, a packed parking lot usually means it's a local favorite! It did not disappoint! I can't believe I didn't snap a single picture to prove it!“

“We have been to Ray's many times over the years & it has always been a nice experience. Tonight was the WORST service we have ever had. On top of that, the stuffed shrimp was overcooked & only 4 shrimp for $35. For the amount of $ spent, it was highly disappointing all-around.“

“We spent the weekend in Chincoteague for our 65th anniversary. On Saturday we ate lunch and dinner at Bill's. My husband had oysters for lunch and flounder for dinner and was pleased with both selections. I had shrimp for lunch and the fried seafood platter for dinner. They shrimp for both meals were very small and did not have a lot of taste. The clam chowder that was included with my dinner was delicious. The rest of the seafood was average. For sides we had the Granny Smith apple cold slaw and red mashed potatoes with cheddar and hamhocks. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Our cocktails were great, as was the service! We made reservations for dinner. The restaurant filled up quickly but there seemed to be adequate staff. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. We would go back again.“

“The food here was excellent. Everything our group ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

Service started out strong, with our waitress being attentive and taking care of us promptly. However, once our food was delivered, the service essentially disappeared. No one came back to check on our table, refill drinks, or see if we needed anything else. We eventually had to go find our waitress just to get our check.

What made this more frustrating was that the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time. There were plenty of empty tables, and no one appeared to be waiting for a table. Since we were a larger party, the gratuity was automatically included on the bill, which made the lack of follow-up service even more noticeable.

One other thing to be aware of is the parking lot behind the restaurant. Parking is very tight and can be challenging, especially if you drive a larger SUV, truck, or other oversized vehicle.

Overall, the food was great and would absolutely bring us back. If the service remained as attentive throughout the meal as it was at the beginning, the experience would have been much better.“

“Good food in the middle of the tourist area. Good breakfast. There is a breakfast buffet with a lot of selections. But I prefer to order off the menu. Full breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, & coffee was $12 before tip on a Wed. Service was good. Not as fancy as Bill’s but a good low cost alternative. I eat breakfast there whenever I am in town and they are open (seasonal).“

“This is one of our large family's go-to places on Chincoteague, along with Captain Zach's, a totally different (local seafood) menu. CI offers so much great food. This is the best BBQ spot you could ask for. Pulled pork and ribs with AMAZING sauce (never tasted one quite like it), chicken, and smashburgers if that's your thing. They have jumbo wings and crab cakes too. Great location with music, fun games, beach vibe. Don't think twice about the prices. You can't finish the meal. Save the rest for the beach or for lunch. 100% recommend!“
