I always love the food at Al Fresco, especially the entrees. I have never had a bad main dish here. I had the linguine pescatore. The scallops and shrimp were fresh succulent, delicious, and cooked perfectly in white wine and butter sauce, what's not to like. The mussels were cleaned well and tasty, but on the small side. The clams were tiny, so I really can't speak to their taste. Entree includes a fresh dinner salad dressed in oil and vinegar. Finally, we ordered the fried calamari appetizer. I would say save your money as they were very thin pieces, and while delicately fried, there was just very little to taste since the pieces were so thin. Perhaps some of the seafood in this dish were just out of season.

We had a 7 pm reservation for a party of 7 and we arrived on time. They were very busy but we were seated immediately. But, every thing else was extremely slow. After 15 minutes we had to ask the hostess if we could have someone take our drink order. It was 1.5 hours after we arrived that we recieved our main dishes only after asking for an update and watching other tables that arrive after us get served. The waiter never expressed interest in making sure we informed of any delays. He didn't seem overwhelmed with an abundance of tables and we were the largest party he had. He just didn't seem to ensure we were enjoying our experience and while we wasn't rude, he wasn't personable. Not the experience we expected after the great reviews we read. The food, however, was well priced and very good.

We love this place since I want Italian and my husband wants seafood. They do both exceedingly well. The only downside was we chose a very busy evening but they did their best to accommodate everyone.
