The is a hidden gem. The food is very good, nice variety and reasonably priced. Eat in and get free garlic knots for the table. Pizza is NY style, crispy thin crust. Portions are generous. A new favorite.

The service was wonderful. The fried ravioli was delicious. The lasagna Bolognese was delightful. But the dessert was amazing! Tronchetto La Giuseppe is a pastry tortilla fried, and dusted in cinnamon and sugar. Filled with a cheese cake filling, little chocolate drizzle, all set in a sweeten condensed milk and cream sauce on the bottom. Was absolutely happiness on a saucer!

Azzuri is a real disappointment. My last 3 orders have been extremely late, or just plain wrong. While some of the staff are kind and professional, others are rude. The food itself is marginal. Unfortunately, my experiences lead me to no longer patronize Azzurri.

Wow. The service and attention to detail are great here. The place was packed upon arrival, but not just for sitdown, but a fast-paced takeaway business that reflects on the quality of the food. It felt like a family success, with a decor that transported me out of the strip mall into an exotic far off locale. Started the food journey by loving the garlic knots which didn't slather on garlic, but instead subtly complimented the taste of the dough and the butter. My Fettuccine Alfredo was similar quality, top notch, and even the salad was great. The lobster and seafood noodle dish that my stepdad had was also amazing. The staff were highly attentive, patient, and out of this world. Definitely worth a visit again.

Made a reservation a few days ahead and then called the day of to shift it 15 minutes. The MANAGER never wrote down either reservation and didn't have a table for us for over an hour. It was the night of Captains Ball, we couldn't wait. The manager wasn't apologetic, didn't give us a reason why he didn't write it down, and didn't offer us any alternatives. Extremely disappointing.

Just love this restaurant, family owned and run. Food is authentic and delicious and always hot & freshly made to order. Lunch menu is outstanding for price and options served with fantastic garlic knots. Simple but good choice wine list from reds to whites and 2 different Chianti's to choose from. Service is always great and with a smile. When I return to Newport News VA on business I always make a stop here. This trip maybe I'll return a few more times... fantastic pizzas as well. Can't go wrong with anything you order.
