Tiger Thai Cuisine

I don’t write reviews but since this was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had I felt the need to. Please don’t be deceived by the 4.4, if you are actually acquainted with flavor, quality, and spice; I guarantee this is going to be disgusting. I got the pineapple fried rice and the Panang curry. The pineapple fried rice wasn’t disgusting but it wasn’t good at all. Oily, no flavor AT ALL, mushy, and just not good.

Now the Panang was absolutely disgusting. Smelt like rotten feet. Disgusting. I saw other people wrote that there were roaches so maybe something to do with that. Please save your money and go elsewhere.

The noodles were very soggy and the sauce on it was off. Leaving review because although I stated something was off in the dish and that I did not like it. I sampled a noodle and instantly couldn’t finish it. Owner stated that she felt it was normal like as if she was eating it. I was still forced to pay for the dish with a $3 deduction off. I have been going here over 2 years so was not trying to get anything free for I always enjoyed the food up until today. I’m heavy on customer service she did not offer to recook it. I ordered basil fried rice instead and it was up to satisfaction. I will not be back since this experience was a distasteful one for me on the taste and still having to paying for it.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, I felt as if I was at a friend's house for dinner rather than a business. The woman tending the front was also extremely kind, and reminded me of a really nice mother who always kept your thoughts and concerns in mind. The food itself was also spectacular; the Chicken Pad Thai I got was greater quantity and cheaper than other Thai restaurants in Newport News.

They have gluten free pad thai but it is VERY bland and they gave me a side of plain white rice. 2/10 - I’d try anywhere else.

Yaya charged me $45.99 for a meal that cost $16.91. I still have the receipt with me. I won't be returning because clearly this place is a scam. Everyone make sure you check your bank statements!

The hostess was extremely nice and the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was drab but the food and hostess made it not really matter. Will definitely go again.

For a Thai restaurant in Newport News, this place is actually pretty good and flavorful. They are not afraid to put the spice in their food and I appreciate that! The owner is really kind and attentive as well.

LOVE the tiger noodles and pad kee mow. They don't break apart like other places. I think they have tapioca flour in them to give them the delicious texture. Service was good. Portions are ok, not large, price reasonable. No frills kind of place in terms of atmosphere.

I loved this restaurant until I ordered the wonton soup for my daughter on uber eats and it arrived with a baby roach in it.
