First time here. Came in with a party of 8 people. Service was great, Cedrick did an awesome job. Only thing I did not care for was the lighting. It is very dark inside and you can't even see the menus. We were not the only ones pulling out flashlights from our phones, just to look at the menus. Other then that, it was a great time. Definitely will return.

I’m REALLY disappointed in how my spicy chicken sandwich was prepared. The chicken was cooked way too hard and it was too difficult to eat. The chicken breast was very dry and too big for the bun. Then, the sauce wasn’t distributed sparingly however, they were gracious enough to put extra sauce on the side (which was appreciated). I wouldn’t recommend that particular chicken sandwich….maybe another selection instead. I think it was the “kicking chicken sandwich “……something like that. That wasn’t it at all!

We went for burger night as we always enjoy their burgers. Sad to see a few gone from the menu but over all was a pleasant experience. Our server was good and the food was good.
We came with our little ones for the first time last Sunday. Our waiter was Brandon and he was great! Started off by bringing the kids goldfish crackers and fresh fruit which keeps them occupied until the food arrives. Brandon was attentive and our drinks were always full and he gave excellent food recommendations. If you go ask for his section if you want an awesome experience!Kid-friendliness: Kids get a starter if fruit and goldfish crackers before meal comes out.

Overall we had a great time here. They were busy but we had no wait for two people, our food came out quick as well and our drinks weren’t too delayed. We got the avocado rolls which were delicious, the salmon and I got the tri-tip combo with shrimp. I paid the extra 2.65 or whatever to upgrade to the couscous Mac n cheese and that was the only negative side. It was just bad, dry, gross. There was not even a creamy or cheese taste. It was just dry and bland. However I told our server it was horrible and she took it off for us so that was nice. The mashed potatoes are always a go to and they are delicious. The salmon and tri-tip were cooked perfectly and the asparagus is delicious too! Overall the food and drinks here are always solid and I love their harvest Hefeweizen. I will definitely be returning!

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the staff at BJs Brewhouse Newport News!! Particularly Morgan and Charles!! My son and I visited your restaurant and my son who has special needs needed to use the restroom. As a single mother this is tough because I cannot go to the bathroom with my son to ensure he is okay. I spome with Morgan and asked if there was a male on staff that would check on my son to see if he was okay. Charles stepped in with no hesitation. He also came to my table and updated me about my son. This act of kindness means so much to me! Words cannot express my gratitude! My son and I also enjoyed the delicious burgers and pazookie!! My son and I will definitely e back to visit! My heart is warm! ❤️
