Take out crab rangoon had no crab. It was actually CARROT that gave it the orange/pink “crab” look. Also the pork tasted rancid like it was rotting. No amount of sauce could cover that up. Lo mein was average.

Blech! Worst food I have ever had. I ordered chicken fried rice and beef with broccoli. They both tasted exactly the same, like smoked salt. Smoke flavor and salt flavor. The beef was spongy like it was pureed into a bubbly foam and then solidified. Oddly enough, so was the chicken.
The picture on the left is actual chicken fried rice. The picture on the right is what I got from China King. It was dark yellowish brown and had a lot of slimy onions and spongy chicken. No peas. No carrots. No scrambled eggs.
The place is also filthy inside. An absolute dump. I couldn't eat more than a couple bites and I had to throw this slop out. Just look at it. Blech!

I go for there for the shrimp fried rice. It's as close to brown shrimp, fried rice, as I can find here in newport news so far. It always seems fresh and tastes that way as well.

I always order from here but the service sucks due to nasty attitude I ask for a scrambled egg in my chinese fried rice and to add the a little brown sauce in my rice while frying the lady in the restuarant gave me attitude and they made it look like bugs the rice was to dark I just wanted tradition browning in my rice not yellow chinese rice.

Tried them for the first time tonight and it was delicious. Service was friendly and it came out so quickly. I had the chicken and broccoli and my husband had the general tso’s chicken. They do not have seating its not an eat in kind of restaurant but I highly recommend it.

I am not a big fan of Chinese food.my wife on the other hand loves it so tonight I thought heck I’ll get Chinese to make her happy.im usually a complainer with most food places.to my suprise I didn’t have one bad thing I could say.food was fresh & delicious.wait time wasn’t long.i am very happy with the food & service.i will be visiting this restaurant more often.

The best chinese food in Newport News. Been ordering from here since I was a kid, & I’m almost 30 now. Never once been disappointed or had any problems. Staff is friendly & knows us by name & face. The food is always hot & fresh. Support your local Chinese hole in the wall, & not those crappy mega chains.

Quick service. Reasonable pricing. Great portions in the combo platters. They look small but when you take it out the container, you see there's more. Only drawback is self service on the utensils and sauces.
