Gem of Newport News. Stylish interior, tasteful everything, not just the food. Not a bad dish or cocktail was had, and we had the octopus, the bao, the grilled bread, the scallops, and a complementary cauliflower creation that tasted incredibly close to chicken. Parking can be found in the nearby neighborhood for free. Kip and all the servers made you feel right at home. Top notch!
We don't get out much at night but with my husband in the hospital I decided to come here after having lunch next door in between hospital visits. Boy oh boy was I happy that I did. I can't say much about the atmosphere because I didn't go past the front door and decided to sit outside. It was a good choice since it was a beautiful night. The food was excellent all around. We had:
- shrimp risotto with olives and calabrian peppers
- bao buns
- fois gras
- halibut croquettes
- cheesecake
The food was a+. No notes. No complaints. Will return when back in the area.
