I wanted to check out the vibe for artists and was curious about the food. I had only been one other time and was told by a fellow artist from Music and Arts that they do open mic nights on Thursdays. So, I finally had a night off from school and really hoped to unwind after working all day in VB, and coming over the bridge. All was going well: the quiet but talented open mic artists, the sandwich, the fries, and even the iced tea. But if I could have ended the night on a high...
It was a cold winter's morning that saw me hide from the bitter chill here. I needed a place to read, and no hearth held my company much like this cafe. Entering in, I found a lovely atmosphere, friendly patronage, good drinks and better service. Like a bastion from the evils of the world, the Cure does its namesake in many ways, especially with open mic night on Thursdays, which shows a bustling small community of queer (pleasantly weird) folk and gay (friendly and happy)...
I tried a new drink and didn’t like it so I brought it back up. I offered to pay for a new drink but the barista Hope was awesome and made me a new drink for free. I was totally impressed and very grateful with how accommodating she was. Definitely coming back here again!
