We recently made our second visit to Deutsche Ecke, and just like our first experience, it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything was spot-on and lived up to our high expectations. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were just as friendly and attentive as before. What really stood out this time was the consistency in quality. The food was exceptional — each dish was crafted with care, and the flavors were as delicious as we remembered. We tried a few new items on the menu, and they certainly did not disappoint. It's rare to find a place that can maintain such a high standard on every visit, but Deutsche Ecke has truly mastered it. The ambiance, the service, and the food all work together to create a memorable experience. We left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped by on a whim jonesing for German food. It’s hard to find around here. I’ve had to result to making my own most of the time. But no longer. The food here is reasonably priced and delicious. Portion sizes are great. I’ll definitely be coming again and will bring my friends.

We stopped by for lunch a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, not impressed. My wife had the Jager schnitzel and I had the Leberkase. Neither of us even finished our meal. I've read several very good reviews and that's why we stopped in, but maybe they were for the dinner menu. Too bad, like many others I was happy to hear about a new German restaurant. But we won't be coming back.

We went back for the first time since the reopening. The Jaegerschnitzel was so good and the potato salad too. Our service was awesome. Can't wait to go again. Lonnell and Ingrid

I got the zigeuner schnitzel with red cabbage and the bread dumpling. It was amazing and so I had to try their German chocolate cake and it was amazing also.

We tried this for the first time and were so happy! We haven’t found good sauerbraten in a long time. It was delicious and tender and paired with the dumplings and cabbage it made for a delightful meal! Our server was very friendly and the restaurant was super clean !

Absolutely delicious! Having lived in Germany, we have been trying to find a restaurant that gave us warm fuzzies again and this is finally the place state side!
We went last night for dinner for the first time and absolutely enjoyed it and will be making it a regular place!
They have Bitburger Radler(my favorite) and a paulaner Hefeweizen(my husbands favorite), so we were already happy with just that! For an appetizer, We got the beer brat, Knackwurst, and Weißwurst to test the waters, and it was all so great, even served with a Brötchen(bread roll), which we loved. The pork Jägerschnitzel was perfectly thin and truly was amazing. For the sides we decided on the Rotkohl(red cabbage) which was flavored so nicely, and the spätzle but added käse(cheese) and it was incredible! Genuinely a perfect combination. We even grabbed a slice of apple German cheesecake for later and that was heavenly. True german cheesecake as it was perfectly sweet with a great cake base.
Service was friendly and efficient. We were checked on often enough and truly enjoyed everyone’s energy.
Icing on the cake is that it is a true family owned and run business, which is probably part of the reason that everyone was truly so lovely.
Absolutely a must go if you miss German cuisine, or want to try it for the first time! Truly a great place and so happy they’re so close!

The food was almost home made, not bad for a German restaurant in America.

We had dinner at the Deutsche Ecke - Newport News tonight. Finally, an authentic German 🇩🇪 restaurant in our area. My husband had the Rouladen and I had the Jägerschnitzel dinner; it was very good, since I'm pretty picky when it comes to German food 😆. If you're local and like German food, give them a try. The owner is from Mannheim; she and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will go back.
