I must say I know Jamaican food Colombian food and this was African style food still good just not Jamaican. Excel that I got like African cooked oxtail rather than a West Indian cooked oxtail there's a difference.

The food was awful! The fried chicken taste funny and had a smell to it! The french fries was hard not cooked all the way through. I didn't even eat my food. Waste of money! Never Again!

Yuck!! I purchased oxtails. Very pricey. I would not have minded paying for them if the food was good, but the oxtails as well as the rice and peas were disgusting!! Tasted old. Cabbage was disgusting as well. The food tasted sour. Old.... I bought the food back and got a refund. Never again.. I have always adored oxtails and these were the first oxtails in my lifetime that I just could not eat! I mean they were horrible. This does not taste like authentic Jamaican oxtails... Find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money. U have been forewarned.

Visiting today from Texas and staff was friendly. We were given very huge portions of food. I ordered curry chicken, oxtails with curry goat and fried chicken wings. From the looks of things and small sampling I will definitely be enjoying my meal.

I wasn't pleased at all. It has been a long time since I have eaten there, so I had a craving. I got my usual stewed chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and potato salad. It had a fishy taste to it. I was so hurt. Maybe today wasn't a good day to eat there. Off to Peking I go for some Chinese. Upset that I spent 30 bucks on a meal for two.

Eah, it's not the best in Hampton Roads.. but it'll do for Newport News. The Rice tasted kind of old, but it could just be the type of dry rice they use? The oxtails were okay and so was the j*** chicken. I love spicy as you all know, so it could have had a bit more spice?

I haven't been to Dunn's River in years but they always satisfy! Great service and delicious food are a staple here just like I remember. The oxtails are mouth watering right along with the peas and rice, cabbage and plantains that are on the plate tonight.
