Fin Seafood

Upon arriving at 7:00pm for my reservation the host told us he had no reservation for John Robertson. When told it was through Open-table he said “ oh yea your table is over there” and pointed across the dining room. We of course were a little confused as to where we were being directed. So we asked where he meant, and thought he would usher us to the table. He again pointed across the room and replied over there. So we ventured across the room to what we thought was an empty table only to find out it had a drink and a laptop on the table. The patron then arrived and we apologized for the confusion . The host then informed us he had made a mistake and he could seat us at the bar in a few minutes. When we said that this was not agreeable he tried to seat us at a 2 top with an extra chair. At this point we declined his offer and decide to go across the street to Schlesinger's. If the front end is being run so poorly then the backend comes into question. I was very disappointed having eaten at Fin several times in the past, and was always pleased with the food and service.

We have been regulars here since it opened. The food then was truly special. During Covid things went back, but came back for awhile afterwards. Many examples such as the corn chowder with blue crab - used to use lump crab meat with great flavor, now small pieces of flavorless claw meat. Similar with the salad with it's crab meat and barely any visible veggies. The wine list has shrunk as well. This remains a good place to bring friends and visitors, but not where we go for a special night.

Fin is a favorite of ours. We chose it for our wedding party's luncheon and our first anniversary celebration dinner. The food, service & ambiance are exceptional. Always a wonerful lunch or dinner.

Nice dinner experience at Fin to celebrate a birthday. The service was great and the food excellent. It's a little on the expensive side but nice for special occasions.

Food and service is always on point. Highly recommend the grilled romaine and the firecracker shrimp.

Excellent seafood dinner. Soft shell crab special and flounder special weee first rate. Scallops come with a huge portion of risotto. Award winning key lime pie cake was worth the splurge!

The cocktails here are incredible. They're not too expensive and have a variety of fun options with interesting presentation. The charcuterie board had some delicious cheeses. The seafood pasta was creamy and the seafood was cooked perfectly, I wouldve liked a bit more flavor..The flour less chocolate cake was fine.

A heads up for special events: we asked if the kitchen could do something for a graduation but nothing was offered (I don't think they regularly do that sort of thing). All in all, terrific service and good food.

This very nice restaurant is located in a wonderful area. Service was outstanding and the food exceptional. Great experience.

Great restaurant. Service and food are wonderful. A little pricey, but worth every penny. One of our favorites!

Did the 7-course tasting menu and it was worth every penny and more - each course was meticulously assembled and paired with wine. Service was also excellent. Perfect date night!

Everything from the hostess to the waitress to the kitchen staff was amazing. They made us feel welcome, made great recommendations, and checked on us just the right amount. The food was great, especially the She Crab Soup! We will definitely go back for their 5 course meal one day soon!

Went to try it out, ordered the Philly. When I got it something tasted off, a bit slimey. Upon inspection it was obvious the bread was moldy with several areas where there was obvious green mould.

We alerted the server and they remade it, unfortunately I felt Ill for the remainder of the day and it sorta ruined our outing. They did bring a piece of cheesecake out to apologize.

Be sure to check your food carefully for mould and similar issues the staff doesn’t seem to take the time to.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Fin, a location chosen especially for my birthday celebration. When we arrived, there was the (pre-requested) booth adorned with a birthday sign & candle in my honor (a thoughtful surprise). My crabcake was light, fresh and delicious, as was my husband's flounder. We shall put this location on our short list of favorites!

Wonderful experience! Food was perfect. Drinks were awesome.
