If you are of darker complexion your service will be subpar at best. They might even tell you they are out of a drink special and then immediately serve someone the drink you requested a few moments earlier. My Navy buddies and I used to frequent here a lot. Rather go somewhere everyone is treated equally. I mean it is year 2024.

Amazing venue!! Their space is decorated so cool and has a great vibe. Once we walked into this place, I knew it would be a perfect place to bring your date or your girl's.John(server) was knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. The cocktails he recommended were unique and delicious.Surely, I would highly recommend this place to anyone for an event or just go hang out for drinks and some food!!It's definitely worth a visit!I can't wait to go back and try more bourbon cocktail drinks and food.My favorite drink was the cashmere.

Filled with happy people enjoying life! The staff is friendly and attentive...never pushy . Parking is easy and a pizza place just down the sidewalk , you are welcome to bring it with you ...this is the best place ! We go every Friday! Bob and Caroline Ps. We were given a tour of the building...so informative and I learned so much! Thank you for being here in Newport News!

We had a great experience at Ironclad. If you're not a whiskey drinker, there isn't much else for you. There are mocktail options and snacks, but if you want a cocktail, it's going to have whiskey. If whiskey isn't your favorite, I suggest getting the Cashmere cocktail. The lemon juice in it cuts the oaky flavor of the whiskey, and it tastes light and refreshing. We also got a tour from the owner, and it was really cool to get a look at the operation behind the scenes. This was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back!

Ironclad is top notch! From the staff to the decor to the awesome bourbon! Everything there is perfect. We fully enjoyed the menu. All the employees worked hard to ensure we were well taken care of. The building is absolutely beautiful! Kara gave us a detailed tour and clearly takes pride in the whole operation at ironclad. We cannot wait to visit again!

It is a gem!!!Great cocktails, down-to-earth staff, beautiful aesthetic, comfortable atmosphere, diverse clientele, and easily accessible. Such a cool vibe for after-work set, date night, or casual drinks with friends. The cigar selection is pretty nice too. My friends really enjoyed the bourbon soaked cigars on the patio. Plan for a distillery tour or even a private event in the Holt Room. Ben took great care of us. Thanks to Stacey and Kara for the coordination.

This place doesn’t belong in Newport News. You enter into Ironclad and you would think you’re walking into the most high-end distillery in Louisville KY. Excellent whiskey and the vibe is absolutely perfect. Bravo.
