There was only one lady working there when we went. The inside did not look the cleanest and their menu advertised food that they did not have. I ordered curry chicken over rice, green beans, and Mac and cheese, and a piece of cornbread. The green beans tasted like it had been cooked in vinegar, the Mac and cheese was dry and while the chicken tasted good, the curry sauce on top of it was not pleasing to the eye and did not taste the greatest. While the cornbread did taste ok, it was obviously store bought and was warmed in the microwave. Overall I was very disappointed in the food.

I stopped by Island Jamaica and ordered the Oxtail Plate with cabbage and macaroni. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t a good experience for me. The cabbage was bland with little to no seasoning, and the macaroni had a different kind of zesty, sour cheese taste that I didn’t care for at all. The oxtails were tender, but the flavor wasn’t great either.

For $20+ (with no drink included), I really expected better. I had wanted rice instead of cabbage, but it wasn’t ready when they opened—same with another item I asked about. The setup inside wasn’t very presentable (though not terrible), and the atmosphere wasn’t the best. On the positive side, the customer service was decent.

I love Jamaican food, but sadly this isn’t a place I’d go back to or recommend.

Came in right after opening. Ordered the lunch combo with jerk chicken, plantains, cabbage, and added a beef patty and coco bread.

Food came out very quickly, less than 10 minutes.

Coco bread was soft and hot, perfect to mop up the jerk chicken sauce
Beef patty was dry, but the seasoning of the beef was excellent and the crust was flaky
Cabbage was just okay, well cooked but a little bland
Jerk Chicken was wonderfully spiced with intense flavor. The meat was juicy and fall off the bone tender. One piece was dry, but the majority was excellent
Plantains were maybe the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and just the right level of sweet

Total came out to 18 and some change, will absolutely be coming back to try more

The chicken have been sitting too long.It was overcooked(NASTY).. the place had chairs and tables flipped over like it was being remodeled or something ...looks dark & spooky... Don't waste your time or money

I actually didn’t receive what I ordered! Of the two meals, I actually got one that was thrown together with whatever they had left in the kitchen. Unacceptable!

The food has no flavor at all , the rice taste burnt the oxtail doesn’t even taste like oxtail and the Mac n cheese taste disgusting I wasted 28$ on this food im HIGHLY upset.

The jerk chicken was cooked well, but the rice peas and cabbage lacked seasoning. They were out of plantains. The staff was very friendly. I will try it again.

Bathrooms wasn't working for customers and when I walk in, cashier said that they had a limited amount of selection if food!
Cashier was very polite!
