Our server was amazing. Was going for something different than our normal steak house. The flavor on the steak was superb.

The floor is slippery, the steak is good, lobster was aight, baked potato was decent. Overall it’s a longhorn nothing special.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Alex W. at LongHorn Steakhouse in Newport News gave me the BEST service I’ve ever had—and I’m 49 years old and dine out regularly so that says a lot. He was incredibly attentive, fast, kind, and somehow managed to anticipate my needs before I even had to ask. It’s rare to come across someone with such natural hospitality and professionalism. Alex made my entire dining experience exceptional and he made my food taste even better. Give this man a raise, he’s a gem! Thank you, Alex!

I dined on Saturday, May 3rd. We arrive and were seated and our server was Sam. She was no attentive to us at all. We were seated and after about 15mins we hadn't received any bread. There was a male server waiting tables near us and he noticed that we were just sitting, and he came over to ask us if we were okay. He then made it a priority to get us bread. After a while Sam came to take our drink and appetizer order and when the appetizer arrived it was cold, the male waiter came over to check on us and when I informed him of that he immediately took it back. He returned a couple minutes later to inform me the food was heading out and asked if I still wanted the appetizer. I did not. When my food arrived my steak was overcooked. All this time passed and Sam had not been back over to check on us. A few minutes after a very nice lady by the name of Jay approached and informed us that she was the manager and her demeanor and customer service was TOP TIER. She was extremely professional and very empathetic. The fact that we did not ask for a manager, but she seen what was happening spoke volumes about how serious she takes her job. She rectified the situation, and she was very sincere about fixing it. My experience was horrible until I came in contact with Jay and Prince. They are for sure an asset to the establishment.
It took 20 minutes to seat us then they just left us and spent 20 more just sitting at the table and didn't even get a drink order. Ended up just leaving with that bad service.

i have called Longhorn's in Newport news at least 7 times in the last month. they just have a r3ecording, aftwer pushing ANY button they never answer the phone...NEVER,...if a reply is posted...they are lying. had to complete form or it wouldnt go thru....info is what i would have ordered

50 min waiting for food is just silly. We had tickets to a play and wouldn’t have gotten there on time if we had continued waiting. We ended up walking out. I looked for someone to tell to cancel the order and no one was at the front and none of the waitstaff was really paying attention. I’m not saying the staff wasn’t working. But not getting food in almost an hour is just bad management. I am now getting Wendy’s on date night.
