I tried food from Honduras and not really good
So let me be honest. My family has been coming here for years. The reason i didn’t post a review sooner is because I want to keep it a secret for myself. Selfish I know! From the first time you try their food you will be hooked and understand why I would like to keep my top restaurant a secret. If you're craving real Mexican food that hits every note of flavor, warmth, and hospitality, look no further—this place is an absolute treasure. The food? Out of this world. Every dish feels like it was made with care and soul—whether it’s the melt-in-your-mouth carne, or the house-made guacamole that’s so good you’ll want to order it twice. But it's not just about the food—the service is warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Brush up on your Spanish because you’re going to need it. Happy hour margaritas are perfection and for someone like me, you only need one. The house made sauces hits every taste bud and my kids can’t get enough of the cheese dip. I had to show this place some love because we come here quite often and others should know you exist. Don’t forget to try the burritos that are bigger than your forearm!
The food was not what it was described. My dish included an egg that tasted so bad I had to spit out and the meat was salty couldn’t even eat it.
Best Mexican and central American food you can find in the area. So delicious. Papusas, tortas! I’m so full. They made me a michelada even though it wasn’t on the menu. 12/10.
Poor quality food, they reused old cook meat , really bad flavor..
we went to eat there and get food poisoning.
During all time waiting for tacos we noticed that they used a microwave to warming prepared meat ( old) .
1 hour after we get diarrea , náusea and stomach upset..
This was so really disappointing…
Omg what an amazing surprise. The little place is amazing. The food is mouthwatering delicious. I didn’t give 5 star for the wait. But it is so worth it. It so clean. So much food for the price. Will be back
Jose echeverry was very rude,he came to The table licking his fingers from eating previously,he didn’t know the menu, And the server sucked.. Charged me for do that I didn’t even get, this restaurant is horrible, and needs to find someone whom speaks ENGLISH
Very bad customer service from Adrianna, never wanting to return.
This place use to be good, food went down hill with quality, place smells like sewage when you walk in the door. There is sooo many more better options.
Placed a Togo order with a young lady for 3 tacos de carne asada. I placed this order at 4:56pm. I left for about 10-15 mins came back and the same lady said another 5 mins. Well that five mins turned into another 20 plus minutes. I noticed and over heard the ladies about four to be exact talking about how Long it was taking and what was I waiting for. Even the “owner/manager” noticed I had been waiting too long, and asked the ladies what was going on. I kept waiting.. next thing I know it’s 5:40pm!! At this point I got the girl who took my order attention and I told her I wanted my money back. This lady looked and me and said you already paid and my response was “ I have been waiting for 45mins and still don’t have my food so I want my refund.” She left and came back with my order. I looked at her and said I wanted my money back I’ve waited way too long. She said one moment and then just kept walking around and going to her tables. I then asked a young lady that seemed like she knew what she was doing to get her manager bc I want my money back. She said hold on, another young lady who was wearing a pink shirt said I am so sorry, one moment and gave me my $15 back! I am applaud that this happened. It’s very unacceptable. Why did it take sooo long to get 3 tacos?! The establishment wasn’t busy and other tables got their food. My order was for Togo, it was a simple order. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

One of my favorites to visit when I’m in Newport News. If you’re looking for a reeeeeal taco shop look no further. A regular in my dining out rotation for years now
Was craving a California burrito. The first spot I tried to go to was closed but I guess it was meant to be becasue this burrito hit the spot. Yanela at the register was super friendly and the burrito is absolutely delicious. They are also generous with their salsa!
Honestly, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I keep coming back for the pupusas, but now it will be for the pastelitos! I also had churrasco chapin which was excellent. Nice, smoky char on the steak and thick, handmade tortillas on the side. Our table also had a tamale, ceviche, and the bean, chicken, and herb pupusas. Of course, we washed it all down with Jarritos! Love this place!
Staff is extremely rude and prejudice
