Was going to see Little Women at the Cinemark and decided to get lunch to go...we ordered the burger and blackened chicken salad...the burger bun was stale, they charged for the fries(which should've been included) and the salad dressing was partially frozen..seriously? We were in a rush and paid and went to our movie although, this will be the last time we dine here...next time it's pizza for $5 which honestly, is always hot and tasty.

We walked up to the bar last night and were ignored by both bartenders. Ask the male bartender w dreads if we could get a beer and he continued to serve people that came up after us. Just blatantly ignored us for 15 minutes. I don't know what we did to deserve this. We ended up going to the theatre side and got a beer immediately. Will never go to this establishment again after such a lack of rude service. These people need to look for jobs that don't deal w the public....maybe just janitorial jobs.

Tater tot nachos (& chip nachos) are so good. Their chicken wings and French fries were also good. The bar service is quick and friendly. The best part is you can take all this into your movie. Or just sit and enjoy a meal in the sports bar atmosphere (there are plenty of tables for groups as well) for they have big TVs to watch the game or fights.

Great food, especially the chicken tender sandwich, and friendly service. Can't beat the location.

Ugh, you guys. I am still heartbroken that Travinia closed up shop and I was hopeful the new revamp of this establishment would bring more tasty food and fantastic wine to the City Center rotation. First off, it's confusing because this place apparently has two names -- it's BOTH the Fat Hen and also Gallina Grasso: Anyway, I had a pretty bad first experience visiting this location (written on the other page). But my kiddo and I were at the Cinemark next door for a movie, and we wanted dinner after. He really wanted pasta, so I thought we'd go ahead and give this another shot. It was prime dinner time on a Friday evening and there were *maybe* three tables of people in the very large space in this restaurant. That should tell you something. After looking through the menu, I decided to try the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce - because, come on! I love a good vodka sauce, and lobster? Yum! I also opted for a glass of their house pinot to go with it. At most places, ordering an entree at a $22 price point comes with some kind of side salad/bread. We got a couple pieces of bread and butter, but that was all. So I was expecting this pasta to knock my socks off. But - blah. Honestly, it tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. And the vodka sauce was literally flavorless. Usually in these cases, the wine pairing helps a bit, but the house pinot wasn't even that great. It didn't help in the slightest. It was so bad, I was only able to eat two of the five pieces they gave me. I took the rest home to my less food-discerning husband to finish off. We ordered some plain spaghetti and a meatball for the kiddo. That was fine - I ended up eating more of that since I was unhappy with my dish. The marinara sauce again really lacked flavor, but it was at least edible. The kiddo had trouble with the meatball, saying it was "spicy" - which when I tried it was basically code for more peppery than he usually eats. When we were finished with all of that, our bill came out to nearly $50, so on that it's definitely a one star experience. I did give it 2 stars because in this instance, unlike my last visit, our service was fantastic. The host greeted us and sat us promptly, plus was kind to my kid (never a given at fancy restaurants). Our server was very attentive, and again, kind to my kid. So I bumped it a star for that. If you're in the area and want to give it a shot - I'd really spend time combing through the Yelp reviews here and on the other page to see if there are recommended dishes that may be better than others. I honestly probably won't be back a third time.

It shows it is closed but that is not true, I just went today. Empty other than one couple at a table. Super nice to order food and be able to take and eat in the movies. Bar tender very nice and gave us menus. We ordered and he said it would be 7 minutes. Our order came out fast and was hot, it was packed with ketchup and napkins which was perfect. We got a burger and shrimp with fries. Both were okay, nothing great but beat movie popcorn. I would rate a 4/5 if the food was good or great. Staff great, timing great, food nothing special.

We had been planning on hitting this place soon after Travinia closed. Hoping for a better fare, we decided to try it yesterday. Being extremely hungry we went very early and could only order from the lunch menu at about 4pm. It was suggested we come back at 5 We were seated promptly and our very affable waitress took our beverage order. Delivering the limited menu, I quickly became interested in the appetizer Bruschetta and settled on the spaghetti and meatballs. I truly enjoyed the appetizer but the toast points were very small. Thinking that the entree would follow a pretty g ood 'salad'. I was surprised however that the entrees are not inclusive with a salad. Only the sandwiches have salads included. REALLY? I'm pretty fussy about my marinara and they told me that meat sauce is not available. So when I ordered I specified sauce on the side. Secondly, I don't like my pasta swimming in sauce. The entrees arrived and it appeared tasty. Adding a little of the sauce I noticed that the sauce was very thick. About the consistency of tomato paste. It just wouldn't mix well with the pasta and remained clumpy. I mixed it as best as I could and cutting the meatball. The meatballs were of a good size but when I tasted it it was very mealy, no flavor and no substance; too much breadcrumbs, not enough meat. The best thing was the pasta. It was cooked very well, however I was supper to get linguine but got regular spaghetti instead. Not sticky or gooey. When asked about my meal I told them everything that was wrong. The waitress was very sorry and had the management stop by. I repeated my complaints and displeasure of the meal. They offered alternatives but declined. I also complained about no bread with the meal. Their excuse was that they didnt offer bread with lunch, only dinner because they didn't bake it until dinnertime, REALLY? As the discussion resumed, I al s o complained that customers have to ask for everything including salt & pepper, sugar and sweetners, any other condiment you might want. Instead of grated parmesan cheese, they shave it so it's much stronger., and you have to ask. Too many negatives in my experience to try this place again. The most redeeming experience was the waitstaff. She was kind, efficient and continued to be interested in us after I dropped the bomb.

The Ultimate Nigroni was a beautiful start to trying out this new Italian. However what followed had to be one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Originally Italian, we gage a lot on linguini vongoli. This version tasted like butter with way too much salt. I could barely taste the clams and if there was wine, I certainly missed it.If you can't make this you can't make anything. My appetizer was supposed to be an octopus salad. It was a bunch of arugula with some squid. And the dressing was way too sweet. Both dished had cheese, a huge Italian no no. And the wine. Forget it. Don't waste your time or money.

We looked over the menu and decided to start with the Prince Edward's Island mussels as an appetizer. They were HUGE and *looked* delicious.. BUT after the first bite my mom discovered that her mussel had still had its "beard", which she ate (EW). After my first bite, my first reaction was that I felt that I was chewing on a tongue (this was my first time trying mussels...). We politely asked our waiter to cancel our salad order as we had decided to dine elsewhere, and the chef came out and seemed oddly defensive about his mussels. Needless to say, we do not plan on returning. The two-star versus one-star rating is for the bartender lady, who was hilarious and kept us good company during our short stay.

I visited this establishment for cocktails and a "to-go" order of the spaghetti and meatballs. I can say that the bar area and bartenders were fantastic. Very polite and on top of their game. The to-go order was promptly prepared and ready to go. When I arrived home, I felt as if my meal came directly from Italy. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the meatballs were an explosion of flavor. Sean and his crew never disapoint.

We visited for the first time today for lunch. Be aware that this restaurant has two names, and two Yelp reviews. Also known as Gallina Grasso, The Fat Hen and Wine Bar is the same place. The setting is very nice, as it is the same place that housed the previous restaurant, Travinia. We were seated promptly and our waitress was prompt and attentive. The lunch menu was populated by a nice variety of salads, sandwiches and pasta. My wife really enjoyed the delicious lasagna, with a delightful tomato sauce and delicious meat. My salad was as expected, with nice fresh ingredients. I did check out the wine list, which was something I look forward to sampling. Based upon our lunch, I look forward to returning for dinner. This place has a lot of potential, and is a welcome addition to the local scene.

Great food before, during, or after a movie for less than popcorn at the concession stand. Good selection of beers and a full bar.
