If I could give these folks 0 stars I promise you I would . Jefferson avenue pier 88. We placed an order around 9pm the order said it was ready within 15 minutes . Just getting off of work not being able to pick up the order until 9:40 we walk in they tell us oh there was an incident with the police and everyone just up and left . So not only did we just drive up here for an order that wasn’t even ready but yet you don’t tell us the order is canceled until we get there .The incident happened an hour or so prior before we placed our order. So folks had plenty of time to get the shii together . We ordered through DoorDash our phone number was available . Plenty of options that could’ve been taken to not let something like this happen were not. Staff was too busy being nosy with whatever situation the police had going on that they did not cancel orders. Or attempt to get into contact with people who did already place orders. This is extremely INCONVENIENT being as though it is now 10 pm and many good places to eat in VA are closed around this time. Ifykyk. Nothing was offered due to the inconvenience. HOWEVER COLISEUM DR PIER 88 is a 5/5 STARS GO THERE BEFORE WAISTING YA TIME HERE .

Noticed recently about the last three times we’ve been there in 2024. The boil sauce (88 special) has been more runny. Less garlic and spices in the thickness. It seems the sauce consists of more butter than anything else. I hope management gets back to the thicker more substantive sauce.

Pier 88 excellent Excellent Seafood place for seafood boils … Love the atmosphere. Prices is great and they offer discounts as well as military discounts and specials. If you haven’t eaten there and you’d like Seafood, take your time to get there and have a wonderful time five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From me.

I came Friday 10/04 to catch a good special that Pier typically offers and was surprised to see they have their ‘Tailgate Weekend’ special which includes 2 option boil bag one being an $11 boil bag and/or $8 shrimp/wing basket. Phenomenal price for a Friday/Saturday date night <3 + shots up to $5 (varies on the liq) highly recommend this place.
Ordered the whiting PoBoy to only get dry ass bread, soggy lettuce, no sauce or cheese. Plus all the lettuce was on the fries instead of the actual sandwich. Add on top of that no flavor to the fish. Never going back, not wasting my money.

Food: The fried shrimp platter, the catfish platter, hush puppies, and corn with the pier 88 blend were all amazing. No complaints. Only compliments. Customer service: Not the Best and noway near the worst. The staff is friendly but they are also really involved and concerned with their coworkers/friends business. They were trying to talk with us (customers) but also with their friend at the same time. Atmosphere: Love the music and decor. Overall: I highly recommend this place.

Food is terrible, whiting fish is not even fried, fries are extremely soggy, I asked for no sausage, extra shrimp. They put sausage in the bag anyway. Then then removed the sausage didnt add my extra 1/2lb of crab legs that I paid for. I called to speak to owner and he didn't care and I told him I would be leaving a Google review and he hung up. Terrible customer service!!!
