Their food NEVER disappoints!!! Their ribs are amazing. Their BBQ sauce is the only sauce around that my husband isn't allergic to. Their sides are always well cooked and flavorful. HIGHLY recommend!!!

While the food is good, it's still on the pricey side. That's not what makes me give it a one star. I used to be a regular, but it's gotten worse each time I've been. On my most recent trip, it took well over 1 hour to get the food. The cherry on top? Im sitting on a wooded step stool for a chair at the table with no backrest

I placed an order online via grubub. The order I recceived was incorrect. I ordered NC bbq sandwhich, a cup of chicken and dumplings, a hot dog plain with cheese and a side of mac in cheese and a coke. I received 2 fully loaded hotdogs, no mac n cheese, fries that I did not order and that were under cooked, the barbecue was not NC bbq, and I did not receive chicken and dumplings at all. The host in the back brought the food out in a folded stapled bag and sat it on the table and simply said thanks. The bag was stapled and everything was wrapped individually. The only thing correct was the coke. Please check your to go order before leaving. I went for lunch and did not have time to go back. Very frustrating.

Ok, I wanted vegetables and thought this would be a good place to go. Collard Greens loaded with salt, cabbage not good, stringbeans needs some of the salt from Collard greens. The only thing good and delicious was the corn bread. This food is horrible. If you already have health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure you better not eat here.
Anytime we get lunch from this place it's always great, they have the biggest chicken wings that I've had anywhere, and the barbecue is really good I recommended to anybody.

This place is a definite must try! I stumbled upon this restaurant back in 2008 while I was in the Navy, living in Newport News, VA. The food was amazing, and now that I live in a different state, I make sure I stop in for a few sandwiches every time I visit the area.
The food was great, servers were very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was seriously lacking. But if you’ve been there that long and have repeat customers, then it was just bothering me. I’d eat there again!!
