I tried S & A Deli and ordered a Philly cheesesteak that came with onions, peppers, and mozzarella cheese and added lettuce, tomatoes, black pepper, and oil & vinegar. The green peppers were very overpowering, which made it hard to taste much else. The meat looked and tasted more like ground beef with American cheese, even though it was supposed to come with mozzarella. The added toppings were minimal, almost unnoticeable. That being said, the flavor was different but still decent tasting, it reminds me more of a chopped cheese sandwich, which is also offered rather than a philly cheesesteak I’d give them another try to see how their other menu items compare.

I'm new to the area and stumbled across this place late night delivering with doordash/ubereats. I kept getting orders from this place. I tried their lamb and chicken over rice and been hooked ever since. The dish has a lot of flavor and a generous amount. I could barely finish it. I've been coming back to this place almost every night. As I'm typing this review, I had just finished a chop cheese, which I never had before. It was pretty good. The other day I had grabbed some chicken and lamb over rice and again couldn't finish it all. I had stopped by Huntington beach park to relax and eat. I had left out my leftovers for the stray cats that hang around the beach. One cat came thru and took several bites. What threw me off 15 minutes later was a squirel came thru and took several bites. Literally grabbed a piece of meat ran off and came back for seconds and third. I even took some pictures of it. In my 35 years of living on this planet, I have never seen a squirel eat anything else except nuts and acorns. I will end this by saying if the stray cats and even a squirel would eat the food from S&A deli, then it must be something good. Great thing is they're opened 24 hours and serve pretty much anything you'd like. I will say be careful pulling into the lot coming off of Jefferson. There are several big potholes in the parking lot which I've witnessed several people hitting coming in.

The chicken and rice was trash no seasoning the chicken was burnt and crunchy it cost more than OG deli on Warwick and bland terrible very terrible waste of money I won’t be back I’m sticking to OG deli on Warwick and bland

I have been coming to the deli for about 2 months now and it is my favorite go-to place on the peninsula. I have always been happy with the quality and presentation of my food and my interactions with the staff. If you are kind to the staff and treat them like friends they will take care of you very well. I have been given free food and drinks just because I am friendly and ask how they are doing. Ive seen bad reviews complaining about how the food is made but you can just ask them if you have any preferences. They are very chill and like to laugh on the job and dont take offense to requests. The owner is very sweet and friendly and owns other stores on the peninsula. They have a good selection of drinks and snacks and they’re usually pretty quick with food depending on how busy they are. They are overall a healthy place to eat with lots of options and they make fresh smoothies and juices. It can be almost $20 for a sandwich and a smoothie but if you just get the food its pretty cheap. $7-$9 for just the sandwich usually, and considering the quality i feel they are generous with their prices. Everything is halal as well.
Went in there the morning of 10/20, there were three employees and not one of them said a single word to us, we were completely ignored.

I use to come here all the time when they first open but last night was my first bad experience but it made me not want to go back. There was too much confusion on the orders, I was almost given the wrong order twice. Then when I finally got my food it wasn’t even worth the $30 I paid for it. The charcoal chicken over rice with no white sauce when i clearly needed it for that dry ass meal . I don’t think I’ll be going back .

So I have visited this establishment before and loved it....today I went in and had the Mr Bean...tuna melt on rye bread..this sandwich was delicious...I had a bag of the whole shebang potato chips...it said extreme but they weren't terribly hot....good flavor...my smoothie was the Popeyes arm....loved it...
