Great portions for the price & the fries were pretty good once i added a little salt & pepper. fish came with plenty of tartar sauce. I am itching to go again & try the shrimp (skrimp), oysters & scallops. The shrimp are real and so is everything else. Not sure on fresh vs. farm-raised but I'm not worried about it.

I used to come to this location FAITHFULLY, WEEKLY.
Due to my job, I'm always away from home.
The last two times however, I've been COMPLETELY disgusted and disappointed with the quality of the food and the attitude of "management."
Before I left, B who used to manage at this location. She would make sure to leave every customer satisfied and without any complaints. Now the attitudes are very condescending and the food is absolutely 0/10.
The last two times I visited the breading of the catfish, shrimp, and okra( okra wasnt cooked evenly) came off. The Nana Puddin is not the same at all. Actually just purchased it recently and the next day it was watery. Nothing but pudding, barely any bananas, and if youre lucky more than 1 cookie. *This is coming from someone who order a whole pan for their birthday last year.
Not only is the food quality terrible, but the attitude of management/staff is absolutely UGLY. When expressed my dissatisfaction for the food, "management" acted as if there was nothing they could or would do.
This specific location isn't what it used to be. If you want good quality and staff that cares about their customer, please just drive the extra minutes/miles to the Hampton or Denbigh location.

First time i went i was looking at the menu and said "Dang, 7 dollars for a fish sandwich! " I ordered it anyway and took it to my car. When I opened it up, I went back inside and said "I understand why it's 7 bucks! ". Literally the biggest fish sandwich I've ever seen and now I go at least once per week.

I order a catfish basket with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. No coleslaw. No sweet potato fries. The only reason for the 1 star is because the pieces of fish did taste alright but I will never order from here again. I paid for something that I didn’t receive.
There is nothing better than finding a place that has amazing food and customer service. My very first time I came in here, Miss Robin “the bald head lady” behind the resister was speaking to customers with her personality. It shocked me because she was very mater of fact, direct, and not what you would expect.
The longer I listened, the more I loved her personality.
She made fun of my friend that had difficulty using the kiosk but was so helpful taking his order. He also asked what was good. Her exact answer was, “Baby! If it’s on the menu, it’s good!!! What cha want?” What an amazing response. She had us laughing, and helped us order, and told us when we get done with our food we’ll be back.
Hands down the best fish sandwich in Newport News. Miss Robin was right!
