Smoothie Queen Cafe

Very flavorful and rich, got a veggie smoothie, Rueben sandwich and grilled cheese. Real ingredient smoothies and a GIANT selection of food with sides which surprised me. Only 5 minutes from base. Way better to come pickup a fresh lunch option rather than wait in a Wendy's or subway line for 10 minutes. There is no ridiculous wait time plus the Reuben was great. It is close to the road and lots of parking which was good for me to be in and out to get back to work. Definitely recommended for people who want better options than what fast food places have and tired of fast food and long lines

I never do review but after driving past and seeing a nice smoothie sign I had to Make U-turn and see what that was about and let me tell you make that u-turn! Because this smoothie has turned my life in the right direction and it will always leave back here!

Great atmosphere, food taste phenomenal.10 out of 10. I told myself I should swing by a few days prior because Tropical smoothie is so far from my job. I could never make it there on break, I'm glad this place opened. I also see that they have live performances on Saturday at 8, I'm going to have to check that out as well.

I frequent this establishment whenever I’m in Newport News and I’ve never had a complaint until today. I don’t know if it’s a piece of plastic or a fingernail but it is unacceptable. I was advised to bring it back for a new order, but like I said, I frequent the establishment, not driving back. Gave it a three because I truly enjoyed my Java Jolt.

Definitely can’t be going here again. Spent $40 on 2 small shakes & a wrap the size of my hand, & it took them 30 minutes to get it out & we were a To go order ! On top of that we were the only ones in there for the first 20 minutes ?

LOVE the food and healthy smoothies (with protein and no added sugars!) We did DoorDash twice and both times were amazing. The salmon salad is awesome. Our new favorite place!! Great customer service as well. ❤️

We moved to the area and I decided to look up a smoothie place to try for breakfast. The young lady at the front was pleasant. I ordered the mango and the strawberry smoothie. The large is barely a medium size, cost over $8 with tax and did not taste good. It taste a little like cough syrup. I am not sure if it is the protein that was used or what but it is not good (portions are off). A waste of $$ on my part. The place looked clean and inviting inside. The TV had an old black and white show that didn't really compliment the ambiance but that is minimal in the grand scheme of things. Wanted to like this place but unfortunately I/we didnt.

Taco shrimp are very salty, and taco shells are hard like a rock. HASH brown, I feel like the salt was inside. I ordered a mango crusher and look and the cup was like sample cups from the tropical smoothie and cost me $7.overall the worst first experience ever.

I had the most amazing experience. The food was delicious. I’m usually skeptical of ordering grits, but they did not disappoint . Thick and creamy. I got mine with Salmon and turkey bacon. My all natural cookies and cream smoothie also did not disappoint. I can’t wait to come back to try more.

I passed this many times each week and didn’t notice it. If you’re looking to add a new lunch or evening spot to your arsenal of eateries, bars and grills. Might I suggest The Smoothie Queen. Where all natural real fruit smoothies might reign supreme. I have been to a few other smoothie spots but none like this one. The atmosphere is like no other I have visited. The flavors of the smoothies, the decor, the color scheme. The background music. A relaxing feel good place to be. They also have Friday night smooth Jazz. The only draw back for me is the times I visited (on lunch break) the music or tv is up too loud.

Went today and ordered for the first time . Said what i wanted and the girl at the counter just handed me the menu which was cool i asked what was the most popular and she just shrugged her shoulders and said u just gotta look... i was ready to write off ever going back at that moment but i will say the smoothie and meal was good. Customer service was just like whatever. I didn't see anything wrong with me asking what was good especially my first time there i just wanted to support

Please for the love of god do not support this business. I worked here for 3 months and the fact that I was involved with these practices at all makes me want to vomit. I can say for myself that this place is extremely unsanitary, like using disinfectant wipes to clean their glasses and roaches all over the place. Food is expired and disgusting, and when any requests or complaints are made the cook only complains as if he is not at fault. The owner is wildly unprofessional, and just plain rude. She does not allow anyone plus sized to work in this establishment, like potential new hires could be beyond qualified and not get hired simply because of their body type. I left because of a case of harassment, with said cook, who is the owner's son-in-law. When this situation was brought to Doreen's attention, she told me she did not even care enough to watch the cameras to see what happened.. are you serious?? That aside, the smoothies are awful and way too expensive, with the recipes taken from a random website. Do not, under any circumstances, support this woman. I'm not even sure why it's still open.

great big sandwiches! the price is right! the services is quick and courteous! I'm going back!
