Price hike. 23.99 for dinner 3.50 for drink. There are way better places to get sushi at that price.

Ever since I discovered this restaurant, I've been a regular at least twice a month! The pricing is more than fair and it truly is all you can eat. I've never been let down by the quality of the food and everything I've tried (even though I'm a picky eater) has been absolutely immaculate. Highly recommend!

Sushi King is a go to all you can eat sushi restaurant in the Hampton Roads area. For the 23.99 price you can eat much more than your money’s worth. The sea angel roll is my number one favorite roll with an explosion of flavors. The Hawaii roll is incredible and so is the dynamite roll. The spicy yellowtail roll may be my favorite in the area. My fiancee and I always compare other sushi locations to this one, and almost always find that we enjoy Sushi King the most based on quantity and flavor of the food. I saw on previous reviews that the atmosphere seems sad, but it’s really just a bit dim on the inside and lacking some design pizazz. Would definitely recommend giving this location a try!

It's an all you can eat but the usual I get is crab rangoons which are lighter than any Chinese food place I have gotten them from. I also get California rolls and plain fried rice with no vegetables and yum yum sauce on top and my daughter gets chicken nuggets. It's a really good place to go for all you can eat and it's fresh. It's worth the money.Kid-friendliness: They have a kid friendly menu for them such as fries, chicken nuggies and so much more.Wheelchair accessibility: There are wheelchair accessible bathrooms as well as tables to dine in for either lunch or dinner.

Went for the all you can eat lunch and the options were very limited in terms of flavor. I don't eat imitation crab or cream cheese in rolls, and those ingredients were present in 80% of the rolls. No roll options with fruit (besides fried banana). The fried rice lacked flavor and texture with no onions, egg, or bean sprouts present, and the miso soup had scant tiny pieces of tofu. Should have just ordered the exact rolls I wanted and not try the all you can eat.

So, I took my two sons here Saturday for lunch.Cleanliness: the place needs a serious scrubbing. My menu had some sort of sticky syrup on it, windows are smoky from trying to clean them with a greasy towel and bathrooms are absolutely horrendous.Food: Wasabi was green but was missing a key ingredient…. allyl isothiocyanate which is what’s found in horse radish for the spicy taste. In other words, you could put a spoon full in your mouth with no effect.Sushi was absolutely horrible. We got yellowtail and a couple other rolls which had what appeared to be old dry fish on top with browning avocado. Whoever rolled it needs a class on how to do it.Crab Rangoon was a deep fried Dorito with a pin prick of cream cheese. Not worth the money.Service: honestly can’t complain about the service. Friendly and followed up on drinks. One big red flag here for me…. Good sushi is usually prepared in front of you which is what you want with raw fish. I want to see who is preparing my food and what they are doing….. not at Sushi King Newport News.Kitchen is behind closed doors which is no go criteria from now on for me.In summary, this is why people eat at home. If I spend $80, I should be getting quality. $80 at the grocery store is a much better investment than flushing it down the toilet at Sushi King.
