The Burger Experience

I'm pissed and writting this 45 minutes later doesn't stop my anger. 1. Missing my fries. 2. Said I would get bottled water with my order and didn't offer any other drink choice except red bull for a 2.50 upcharge. 3. Didn't get bottled water only offered tap water. 4. Look at how tiny my burger was for 12.60 no drink or fries included. Burger was dry, smushed, and I'm still hungry. This was a bait and switch. Ordered on door dash and "the burger experience" isn't even a real restaurant it's smoke bones in disguise. The host was exceptional but I'm not ordering again and WONT change my mind about it.

I have been going here for a year now & have been here at least 6 times & the food is consistently bad. I feel that I have given this business enough tries to safely say the food here will always be bad. The pulled pork is always dry & flavorless. The corn is always overcooked, dry, & chewy. Doesn't taste like they even put butter or salt on it. The sweet potato fries are also always soggy & have a yucky texture to them. Management here does nothing to fix the problems so you can't expect anything to get any better from here out. If you eat here after reading this then good luck!

I ordered two classic burgers that include: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. through door dash and all I got was a bun, burger and cheese. Nothing else! I tried to call but, their phone number connects to Smokey Bones, instead of “Burger Experience”. Never Again!

Burnt fries. Wrong burger. Disappointing. Don’t waste your money here.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Burgers did not come with the xtc sauce nor the sides of extra xtc sauce I paid for. The classic cheeseburgers tasted similar to wendy's.

What a mistake! They didn't have the drink I wanted, they didn't have the appetizer we wanted. We got loaded nachos- which I REALLY did not like. But, at least it seemed to be fresh-ish. Our entrees were horrible, old, cold, overcooked and just plain gross. I got shrimp which had been sitting around way too long! The broccoli had a terrible sour odor and the potato wedges were super nasty. They had a sweet taste They were cold, they were dehydrated and over cooked. My husband's entree was small, especially for the bucks they charged, and what there was of it was more than half FAT! We had tea and water for whopping $$100.00 with tip. Never ever will I go back and I can not recommend. The server was just ok. My husband's tea was refilled, but not my water.

For the first time trying this restaurant, I can say that it was pretty good. What made it better was our server, Justin. He was cool, and very nice

I have to say that they delivered well on our order, which was solidly good for the most part, and better than what we expected. There is a pleasant dining atmosphere, and the quality of the food matched it quite well.

Burgers are tasty, cajun seasoning is good, sauce is good.. little different then a regular straight up burger but I like it. I ordered delivery and I'm sad that I didn't get my drink though.

No curbside spaces. Arrived and called to inform I was there to pick up. They said will bring out to me when ready. 20 mins later no order. Called, was out on hold, then hung up on. Called back. Put on hold a long time again. They finally came back to say the order was being packed up. Waited another 15 then went inside. A lot of people waiting for orders. Finally someone called my name and I took my order. Got home and the ribs were dried out and burned. So disappointed!

We've been going to this restaurant for many years. We always enjoyed going. We have noticed customer service was slipping. Tonight took the cake. Dont' sit at the bar!! The bartender was our waitress and she was bad from the start. We waited 20 minutes for our appetizers and had to ask for them. You could tell she forgot to order. Of course they came 5 minutes before the meal. Food was okay. I asked her for baked potato with butter only. It came out with sour cream, which I can't stand. Ruined the entire taste. She never came back to ask us how things were or if we needed anything. The worst service we've had in a long time. A $60 meal that was not enjoyable. That's okay. We tip on what type of service we get. And we will not be back.

I ordered from here for the first time on DoorDash. There was a hair in my lemonade . I ordered a cheeseburger, there was no cheese. The fries in the bag were cold and the bag wasn’t even halfway full.

Ordered wings and they were absolutely disgusting. Aside from the bland seasoning, the wings were very fatty/gristly and many were undercooked. These were some of the most unappealing wings I've ever seen in my life. Will not be ordering from this establishment ever again. Please do not reach out to me if you are employed by this establishment. Nothing will make me reconsider my opinion. I wouldn't eat this food for free.

Went in last night (11/5/20), greeted by the togo person or host right away. Ashley was our waitress and she was AMAZING! Hands down the best. Had my usual plain hamburger with veggies - amazing and on point. Kiddos had chicken fingers and fries and while you are probably thinking you can't screw that up well ya can. They have the better chicken nuggets in the area (kids tested). Of course you can't forget about the donuts - amazing and always on point! Again - our waitress was amazing - she had a large table, our table, and another but still managed to keep up with everything.

Shoutout to Troy at the Newport News Smokey Bones for his excellent customer service. So friendly even though he was the only one responsible for hosting and serving. Thanks Troy for taking care of us like you own the place! Your manager should be proud. Yvette and Dave
