I’ve been going to John T Seafood in Newport News for years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. The crab was overcooked, dry, and tasted like it had been made in old oil—no flavor, no moisture, just bad quality. When I brought it to their attention, no one took responsibility or offered to make it right. The woman I spoke with had a bad attitude and rushed to offer a refund instead of simply remaking the food.

It’s clear the quality and customer service have gone way downhill. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone expecting good food or respectful service.

Got it! H

I recently visited Vincent Seafood Market in Newport News, VA, and it was a fantastic experience. The market offers a wide variety of fresh seafood, and the quality is top-notch. We purchased fish and spiced shrimp, and both were incredibly fresh and flavorful.

The spiced shrimp were a particular highlight, perfectly seasoned and ready to cook. The fish was equally impressive, fresh and clean, making for a delicious meal at home. The staff at Vincent Seafood Market were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and ensuring we had everything we needed.

One thing to note is that Vincent Seafood Market only accepts cash, so be sure to bring some with you. Despite this minor inconvenience, the quality of the seafood and the friendly service make it well worth a visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through Newport News, I highly recommend stopping by Vincent Seafood Market for all your seafood needs.

Fried crabs were pretty but very deceiving. The batter had a sweet taste, similar to funnel cake. They appeared large but all an illusion as the batter was packed on thick. Barely any crab underneath. Never again. Anna’s Seafood has the better pair.
