First time trying Vinny's Pizza! Hands down some of the best pizza in Newport News, and most of the 757. It may seem like your typical re-heat NY style pizza joint, however, the ingredients, the taste, and the texture is absolutely on point when ordered fresh/on the spot. Ingredients taste fresh and baked with the perfect amount of doneness and oven char, the bottom of the pizza and crust have the perfect amount of crispiness and bite to it. All around the pizza is crispy, chewy, and soft in all the right places. The tomato sauce has the right balance of tanginess and sweetness... It's a dang good pie!

Get your YUM YUM going,Great service, great food, great place to eat with friends and family, see friends.Great wait staff, they really take care of you.
I have been ordering food from this place for 10 years now. For the longest time they were perfect. I would order a large pepperoni, mushroom, garlic, and extra cheese pizza. The amount of toppings were perfect and the cheese was triple the size of the crust. You would almost choke on the cheese as you ate it.Unfortunately something has happened in the past couple of years. Now when I order the same pizza I have been ordering for years there is a greater than 50% chance I don’t get that extra cheese. The rest of the toppings seem to be light too.Out of the four pizzas I have ordered recently only one had the extra cheese.I am willing to pay the money to get what I want. If I need to pay for double cheese that’s fine. If I need to pay for triple cheese that fine too.The issue is that some times when I order extra cheese I get it but most of the time I don’t.I went from ordering a pizza from them once a week to maybe once a month now because of this. Like I said, money isn’t the issue. I’m willing to pay $40 for a pizza. I just want consistency and right now they don’t seem to be able to do that.

Really good food, really great service. We dealt with 4 different members of the staff, and all 4 were cheerful and helpful - we really felt welcomed and attended to. I would come back just for the wait staff alone. The food was very good. I ordered the eggplant parm pizza - delicious. My son, a teenager, ordered the hot wings, and informed me that they were bussin' - this means that he hold them in high regard. My wife and other son both ordered pasta (ravioli and penne and meatballs). Both said the past was well cooked and the meatballs tasted, but the sauce was fairly bland, very simple tomato sauce. We also received garlic knots and some bread, and some basic mozzarella sticks, and everything was average in that regard.I would definitely come back for the pizza and service - it's the people that really make this place stand out.

Pizza is BAD. Barely any sauce and it tastes bland…Pizza Hut has better flavor, which is scary and sad. Also, $18 plus for a bland Alfredo really isn’t worth it.You might want to add on the menu that your garlic knots are bite sized.Great wine though, large portions. But definitely won’t be back.
The service was great. Our server was attentive and had a helper. There were more servers than guests on our Monday night visit. The food was average in flavor, but smaller side of portion sizes for price. The dishes are absolutely homemade. There is no doubt about it. The garlic knots hardened quickly. We ordered them so guests would have the opportunity to nibble upon arrival, but they were hard within 10 minutes. I ordered takeout for my husband and daughter. They enjoyed the Italian sub and a Stromboli. My husband said it was good, but the subs make up made for a messy eating experience. The ingredients fell off the sub with every bite. The lasagna was not served hot, so a guest at our party took it home and planned on reheating to her liking. The person who ordered lasagna was served bread and knots with her soup, but the other guest who ordered a meal, penny ala vodka, did not receive the bread basket with her salad. The Greek salad was very small with minimal ingredients. A large Greek salad was served on a plate, not a bowl, so you know it was jot a hefty salad by any means. It could have used some love. Overall, our experience was good.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetables and choices to build your own meal with ingredients of your choice.Parking: There is plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant. Kid friendly as far as atmosphere. No fun activities or child menus. Bring crayons or a busy book to keep your child busy if there are no other kids to keep company.Wheelchair accessibility: There is ample parking, including handicapp parking slots and a small ramp to enter the establishment. The door is typical, with width.

Pizza is ok. Better than most around. Was frustrated to open up our chicken fingers to find them burned beyond recognition. Just don't understand why anyone would serve food like that. Long gone are the days when people took pride in what they provide the customer. :(
