Visiting from out of town....the shrimp and grits could be better tho becuz it needs more flavor and wasnt as hot (so it was sitting there), only got half of my meal till I informed the waitress (missing eggs and toast). The white Sangria was watered down and the place could be a little better but the decor was cute...3 out of 5

If I could rate this place as a 0-star I would. By far the worst brunch experience I have ever had. Came with 4 other people. We ordered a mimosa pitcher but that was a waste of money. They literally poured a cup of Prosecco in the pitcher and the rest was orange juice. I had to ask for another cup of Prosecco to make it a real mimosa. The group all received our food at different times and I had to cancel my order after waiting 15 minutes after everyone else received their food because I still didn't have my order. Went to speak to the manager about it and he had absolutely no concern. Just shrugged and said he voided my order. Then the real gag is the trash server who only came to the table three times in an hour and 45 mins still got her gratuity because we had 5 people. I will never come to this establishment again. And don't bother trying to apologize under this comment because I came to you very polite to fix the issue and you acted as if it was no concern to you.

Walked by the establishment to see what the menu was like. The manager pulled us inside and and gave us a tour and run down of the menu. The atmosphere was great and the food smelled amazing. I am definitely loving the vibes here. If you are in the downtown Norfolk area stop by and show some love.

Just opened about a month ago, I stopped by for lunch and the lunch special price was pretty decent. The flavoring on the wings was on point.

I like the respect given to me as a customer. Its coming along well. I see they plan to have card games and other social functions when upstairs is completed.

A great location. It is right across from the Hilton Parking garage. Street parking is available but hard to find.

Amazing happy hour menu, with a great selection of wings.

I'm being generous with three stars! I hate slamming a place, because I want to be able to eat in this town. However, if an establishment truly wants to get better, than my words should be welcomed. I've never had a more disappointing brunch experience than what I had today. I'm not sure if my experience was specific to the event or if this is really the service of 416 Aphrodite. The event that was advertised was #brunch757. Getting in at 12 and being seated was absolutely no problem at all. It was getting the attention of the wait staff after being seated, that presented a problem. The server came back more than a few times just to say, "I'll be back to get your drink order". I counted about 4 times to be exact. After grabbing the host for the event "Dapper Luq", we thought that would help. It didn't actually make a difference. Once we finally got her over, we ordered our drink and food all at once. Ordered... 2 - shrimp & grits Pitcher 24k mimosa 2- Henny wings Vegetarian Jambalaya Biscuits & gravy 2 - Mimosa flight (4 mimosas) FIRST!!! Drinks were dropped at the table that we didn't order. After pointing this out, the server "Tiyana" (sp), said, well they're yours now. Now I'm not complaining about comped drinks, I'm highlighting the continued discombobulation with our server. So the first round of hot mimosas in plastic cups arrived. We waited more time and the food was dropped off, except the biscuits and gravy. We were almost done with our food but the drinks hadn't come yet, nor had the biscuits and gravy. My vegan friend, began to point out what looked like cheese in her jambalaya. We ultimately settled on the conclusion that this was possibly risotto. Either way, was this cheese vegan? We were finishing our food when the mimosa flights were dropped. Shortly after the mimosas were dropped, the biscuits and gravy arrived. The mimosas were advertised as "4 mimosas", pineapple, mango, strawberry, and blueberry. We each only got 3 of the 4. The server left so quickly and barely returned, that we couldn't communicate the shortage. Additionally, my friend couldn't eat her biscuits & gravy because they didn't give her silverware. 20mins later we finally got silverware, well a plastic "to-go" set. At this moment a camera man asked us to look into the camera, comment on the food and smile and wave. I politely say to him, that we would only smile and wave. Food comments: 2 - shrimp & grits - ok flavors, but wouldn't order again, 4 medium size shrimp. Pitcher 24k mimosa - first round sent back, due to what seemed like a pitcher of just OJ. Also very warm and room temperature. The room was very warm. 2- Henny wings - waffle fries, best thing on the plate. Chicken was so under cooked that I couldn't separate the pieces. Also pink inside. Vegetarian Jambalaya - appeared to be not vegan. Biscuits & gravy - arrived late, visually unappealing. 2 - Mimosa flight (4 mimosas) - received only 3, with no acknowledgment or reasoning. Did not taste good at all. I left 2 of the 3 on the table. Atmosphere: Overall vibe and atmosphere was odd. It almost seemed as if the customers knew the service and food was subpar, but the host, wait staff, and chefs seemed oblivious. I personally overheard more than a few conversations of discontent from other tables. At one point I witnessed musical chairs as tables were being dismantled and relocated. This all took place as people were dining. I lost count of how many plates of food were carried by the servers over my head. I almost expected some sort of "over the microphone" acknowledgment or apology for the service. At one point my friend asked, if this was the first time this event was hosted. The reply was simply "no" and they had done this quite a few times previously. We were there for over 2hrs and I left
