I came to AJ Gators on the recommendation of my sister, who couldn’t stop raving about their crab dip. I’m a huge fan of dips—spinach, buffalo chicken, you name it—so I was excited to check it out. This was my first time dining in, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we ordered two crab dips, one buffalo chicken dip, two grapefruit crushes (I believe), and a strawberry lemon drop.

The dips, unfortunately, came out lukewarm and weren’t as flavorful as I hoped. The buffalo chicken dip in particular was extremely creamy but lacked that bold chicken or sriracha flavor I was looking for. That said, it was pretty late when we came in, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt—timing may have played a part in the food not being at its best.

The real standout of the night was our server, Jessica (I believe that was her name). She was super sweet, attentive, and even brought us both pita bread and chips for our dips—which was a thoughtful touch since most places only offer one option.

The strawberry lemon drop was tasty, although I’m used to it being red and made with strawberry purée instead of just strawberry liqueur—but it was still enjoyable!

All in all, while the food didn’t quite meet my expectations this time, the great service and overall vibe would definitely bring me back to give it another try—hopefully a bit earlier next time!

Go to place for Football Sundays and MMA Saturday nights. Sneaky lunch place that you should try, great specials. Staff is amazing, weekend drink specials.

What's the point of having hours when you lock the doors an hour plus before closing? Drive all the way over here and the doors are already locked! There's people at the bar even lights on TV's on???

Everything about this place is mediocre. Legit seems like one of those places you see on bar rescue BEFORE Jon Taffer goes in and saves the day. Absolutely huge waste of space.

Excellent service, trendy atmosphere, and wonderful food! We had a very enjoyable time here last night. I highly recommend going if you want to just let loose, have a cocktail with friends, and play some pool!

Music is never loud enough. Otherwise what I would describe as a post modern dive bar. Not a negative.. just tvs, bar food etc.
