Crazy price ....
I ordered my food. My water was served promptly but I waited 1 hour for a chicken Cesar salad. I asked the waitress about it as many people who arrived after me were being served their meals. I finally got up and told the waitress to go ahead and cancel the order. Save yourself the hassle and eat prior to security or prior to arriving to the airport all together.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I don’t really appreciate having to use a QR code to order, but I get it. Waited 30+ minutes for our food. Nothing fancy, just a Caesar salad, a chicken sandwich, and fries. We asked a staff member about how much longer it would be. He looked at the order on my husband’s phone and said, “oh it’s ready, do you want me to go get it?”
Uh yeah we do! Anyway, the place is dirty, over crowded, and slow. I do not recommend and will not return.

Took an hour to get our food on 9/13/2025. I ordered the crispy fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuit and brocolli. Chicken were over cooked, no gravy they said they run out. Brocolli was cold. Biscuit was hard and cold. Horrible experience as a first time customer. The table behind us waited an hour and a half to get their food. Needless to say, I returned my food. I don’t recommend this restaurant. Just awful!

My wife ordered the crispy fried chicken meal for lunch. After waiting 40 minutes, she was served well over cooked, dry fried chicken and they forgot to include gravy with the mashed potatoes. Terrible food, terrible service. She returned her lunch for a refund. Go elsewhere.

This place should not be in business and for this to be at an airport the staff is HORRIBLE. I'd rather starve then to deal with the rude staff at this so called busines.

Drinks are upwards of $30, just wait and have one on the plane for half the price. Service was okay.

If you only have 30 mins you will NOT have enough time to get even a drink here. QR style ordering and paying.

If i could give 0 stars i would . I almost never leave reviews but the service was so horrible at this place i couldn’t pass up the opportunity. They use a QR code for you to order unless u sit at the bar . The bartender was very quick and rude . She stated that she had been working all day and hadn’t had a break which is understandable but however she does work in customer service …….. the food was just okay service was slow place was overcrowded limited seating the food wasn’t that good . I would not recommend this place however Norfolk airport has limited dining options so choose wisely
Incredibly slow especially for a restaurant in an airport. Service was also terrible. Food is very expensive for what you get and was not good even for airport standards. Only option in this gate but will not come back.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at ORF Back Bay Bistro. Julie was the only visible server at the time, and from the moment we sat down, she consistently ignored our table while warmly and attentively assisting others around us. We were seated before another nearby table, but she went out of her way to greet them personally and told them not to scan the QR code because she would help them directly—something she never offered to us.
We ended up scanning the QR code and were eventually helped by a different staff member, a young man who was kind and respectful. What stood out the most, and what was most troubling, is that Julie did not engage with our table at all—not even when the food came. Instead, she sent someone else. We couldn’t help but notice that she didn’t assist a single person of color during our time there, while being friendly and present with every other table.
This behavior was not just disappointing—it was disheartening. In 2025, it’s upsetting to still experience such blatant disregard that appears to be racially motivated. I left feeling disrespected and saddened. The food itself was nothing special—just your typical overpriced airport fare—but it was the service, or lack thereof, that truly left a lasting negative impression. The one positive note is the professionalism of the young man who did step in, but the overall experience left a lasting negative impression.

Overall, a decent dining experience. Food was ok. Margarita was ok. Wings good fries weren’t as hot as I’d like. Great service from staff. My waitress was more than attentive.
