Fight night at the Scope in downtown Norfolk eating at Baxter's before the gates open. Baxter's is a sports lounge, spacious pool tables, good burgers and fries. Great location to eat if you're not trying to go broke buying stadium food and it's within walking distance of the Scope. Oh, and the wait staff was good and knowledgeable about the area

Food is good, specialty drinks are sugary, and club hours security for dudes is invasive. Got more action from the shawty at the door than I’m used to frisking me down, he jingled my jangle but was happy to get in for a post-game beverage.

Baxter Sports Pub is an ideal spot if you’re heading to a hockey game or event near the stadium. Its location is hard to beat, just a short walk from the action. Parking is convenient, with a garage nearby costing around $10 a night, though you might luck out with street parking if you’re patient.
