Nice atmosphere but it is the absolute worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. The brisket was shoe leather, the size of the side of coleslaw was about a quarter cup. The green beans tasted like they came right out of the can to the plate. Do yourself a favor and have a McRib.

PRO: Clean place. Courteous staff. Reasonable prices. Reasonable serving sizes. CON: My issue was with their brisket. I arrived shortly after the place opening, ordered the brisket, received something the cut and consistency of roast beef that I had great difficulty cutting apart--I expect brisket to be thicker and more tender. I'll happily try other offerings, but stay away from their brisket.

My family and I tried the brisket, chicken, pulled pork, mac & cheese, potato salad, green beans, and French fries. All of the food did not come out hot, rather warm but more towards cooled. All of the meat lacked flavor, their sauce is what carries the flavor, even then the sauce was mid. The brisket specifically, was more fat than not, like too much fat for brisket. The sides too came out more cooled, two came out cold and I had to send back. Again, sides lacked flavor. Biggest let down was the potato salad, it was bland. Our server, Betsi, was amazing and deserves all the praise. Wish the business the best.

Brisket is like cardboard and impossible to bite apart. Mac and Cheese very Watery. Food is mostly overcooked. Plate taken away when there is still food

The food was just okay, but something really bothered me. They automatically added a 20% service fee, yet there was still a section for additional tips. I ended up leaving more because the waitress was pregnant, bringing the total to 40%. Merry Christmas, but I won’t be coming back.

Went with a large group of +10. Servers were trying to keep up with orders. A couple of orders were forgotten when food arrived. But they were very respectful and apologized. Highly recommend the smoker.
Kid-friendliness: Day time till early dinner is kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access ramp and handicap spots.

Easy walking distance from base. 4 visits in 3 weeks. Great brisket and ribs. Good selection of VA beers on draft. First time I've seen okra fried whole, but it's a nice option. Highly recommended.
This place is horrible. I had the 1/3 ribs and 1/3 lb. of brisket with sides (Mac N Cheese and Corn bread). There is no seasoning on any of the protein. The Brisket should not be served, it had more fat that meat. My Mac N Cheese had liquid in the container.

A great BBQ option that is close to Naval station Norfolk. The inside is spacious and clean with a nice bar area for drinks, to eat and watch ESPN or any prime time sporting event. I think the BBQ is very good for this area. Great portion size and quality. They even serve you quickly for the lunch rush. Anyone near base who has a craving for BBQ should stop by.

What an amazing experience. I got the ribs and brisket. It came with two sides and we also got the loaded bbq nachos. I have loved other bbq spots in Norfolk but this place was insane. So good. The food was so good, so perfect, and kept me full for hours. Wonderful prices for those huge servings. The waitress was great and the place was very clean.
I definitely recommend getting the rib combo with brisket. The Mac and cheese was fine but the fries were hot and seasoned well and the coleslaw was perfect. I am wanting to return again soon. All of this food plus drinks for only $39.
